Kioh smiled. "I was just making sure." he said. "It'll be a surprise." Then he pocketed the peach seed, deciding that he might plant it near his home. "Are you full?" he asked.

"Enough," She answered and leaned against the tree behind her. "For now you should get some rest. After the spell it's best. I think I slept for a day when I did it before."

Kioh nodded. "You're probably right." he said. "Do you want me to walk you home?" asked the elf. He wouldn't mind walking her back to the castle before he went home.

"I don't think you can," She admitted sadly. The room he had met her in had been empty for over a month now. Surely the humans have already begun to reform it so it could be used for someone else, someone who had the money to pay for it instead of living off of Queen Susan's grace. "By now it isn't my home."

"I'm sure it still is." Kioh encouraged her. "And if it isn't, I'll argue it back for you. I'm sure that not every room is filled in that Castle. C'mon. I'll help you." he smiled, standing and offering her a hand.

"No I . . ." She stopped as the memory of the scars on her back resurfaced, "I think I'd better keep my distance from Caspian. Just for a little while."

The elf nodded, and couln't keep the smile off his face. "Suit yourself." he said. Maybe, at last, his luck would finally be changing. Maybe she would love him. But he said nothing about it. "I better be getting home." he told her. "Is there anything that I can do for you before I go?" he asked politely.

"Could I," She almost hesitated to ask fearing he would think the wrong things from it. But it was her only chance at survival just yet. And, if anything, she needed to reattach herself to her own people having spent centuries isolated. "maybe, stay with you for a while?"

"Of course you can!" he exclaimed. Kioh began to lead her through the forest. He didn't ask her why, decidng that she probably wanted to keep it to herself if she hadn't told him already. He hoped that she would like his home. It was small, but it was plenty of space for two people. She could even have her own bedroom and chair at the table.

She let him lead her, happy he was happy but still believing in the back of her mind that he was thinking she might start liking him if she stayed. She owed him gratitude, but she doubted she could love him, no matter what Caspian did. So she followed wondering if she would see his family.

Kioh found his way through the brush, and finally to a large tree. At first it seemed to be just that. A tree. But when you looked closer, a door and windows were visible. "Here we are." he said, opening the door for her.

Katrina looked around her when she saw the tree sung perfectly into a home for him. She wondered if there were others nearby. She stopped at the doorway when he opened it though. He was the one letting her in, he should go first.

"After you." he said, following her in. Kioh looked around. "This is home." he said. "What's mine is yours." There was a fireplace and hearth with a couch and a few chairs on the left hand side. There was a kitchen on the right. In the center was a little round table, with stairs behind it that lead into a hallway, which lead to the bedrooms and a bathroom. There was a coat rack by the door, which held a few jackets and a hat.

she shuddered slightly at the words humans only used for married couples. There was no possible way that she could take what was hers. "You sang this by yourself?" She asked looking at the size of it. She could have never done it herself. Usually she just found a place between two branches to sleep. At least this way she would be safe from the coming winter.

Kioh nodded. "You're bedroom is the one on the left." he told her, pointing into the hallway. His was the one on the right. "You are welcome to go and rest now or stay up if you like. I'm going to read a book for a while." he told her, picking up a book from the little coffee table by the couch. "There are books over there, if you like to read." he told her, pointing to a bookcase against the wall.
