"Aslan is the great ruler of this land, even above us and Caspian. He is the son of the great emperor beyond to sea, but no one has seen him before." She answered. "When we first came to Narnia Aslan fought beside us to defeat the white witch and bring spring and peace back to Narnia. The second time he drove out the Telmarines who tried to whipe out all narnians and once more brought peace. Caspian is king now thanks to him. But when we left then he told me and Peter not to come back. We did anyway and no one has seen us since. Many believed he was the one who took Lucy, others thought he simply supported our enemies. But we still havn't seen him." She finished her story of Aslan knowing it was very confusing for someone who had no knowledge of Narnia or its history, but the rest would be explained when she or her siblings had much more time.

Caspian nodded and picked up where Susan left off. "His return, and saving you, means that he, at the very least, supports us. If he has returned to fight with us, it will make gathering troops and allies much more easier and we will be strong enough to push back and kill my cousin and his men."

Their father continued to look confused, but shook his head. Peter was lost in thought for a few minutes. Lucy asked him what he was thinking. He looked down at her, and back up at them. "There is still the possibility of Lamont's slaves on the island. Well....one of them at least." he turned back to his father. "Do you know anyone named Syria?" their father looked shocked. "Yes I do. Her parents were fighting alongside of me when we were surrounded by enemies. They died in the battle and Syria was never seen again." Peter stared at Susan and Caspian in horror.

"Who's Syria? I don't think I've ever met her before." Susan did not share Peter's horror. She had not seen Syria or knew anything about her. But she did understand that this Syria girl was english and was somehow brouthg here through Lamont into Narnia. The boy was finding people from the real world, not just fighting the ones here who won't support him. to tell a Narnian to fight against their beloved kings and queen was a nearly impossible task. But to tell an englishman, who is willing to believe his story enough to follow him into this world, that there even is a narnia where dragons and griffons coat the sky and centaurs and minotaurs and unicorns roam free, there is much better chance. But once they get there they would see that there was no way from his grasp before they are forced to fight or die. A greater form of hatred burned within her stoamch making her feel worse than before, a feeling she didn't need. She leaned against Caspian for support wondering what her father would say.

He didn't know exactly who Syria was either, but he asumed that it was the girl who had come flying out of the trees in fright that day on the Isle. "I think I know her." Caspian said. "She might have been the one who told me that Lamont was in the forest. Caspian felt Susan's weight against him and placed his arms around her waist. He looked down at her worryingly, but quickly hid the emotion from his expression before anyone but her had the chance to see it.

Peter looked at Susan and Caspian. "She works for Lamont also. She was forced into slavery after her parents died. Thats what she told me." the high king was now filled with anger. He looked at their father. "Are you sure?" he asked, curiously. He nodded. "Postivie," Peter hissed under his breath. "This is low even for Lamont." he continued grumbling under his breath. Their father looked from Susan, to Caspian and back again with a warm, understanding look.

The girl had told Caspian that Lamont was there, in the forest on the night of her attack. But of he had known then why haddn't he come after her? Why didn't he save her like he did all those years ago when the mounted swordsman came at her from all sides? If it was the shape-shifter who held him back then why did he claim so soon after to be their friend? So many stories were all to confusing and only one of them could be true. She knew someone, somewhere in the story was lieing and she was sure it wasn't Caspian. "If Syria told you," she finaly said to caspian almost forgetting the fact that her father was here listening to her, "Then why didn't you come for me?"

"I did." he said defensively, his arms still not letting go of her. "But then I was attacked by the tiger, and by the time I got there..." Caspian's eyes went wide. "The tiger." he repeated. No one had been around him when he was fighting with the striped beast. No one for his father to show of for or convince. No one to fight for. Just hatred and rage. His eyes snapped over in the direction of the shape-shifter. He took a deep breath to calm himself down a bit. "Nobody say anything to him." he whispered.

Peter was now lost until Caspian whispered that statement. His eyes grew wide. Ther father was still confused as he looked at the other man. "He was the one all along," Peter muttered under his breath, eyeing the shape-shifter. "Jeeze, what happened to the normal English life we had Su?" he asked, his voice thick with scarcasm.

She would stay silent just as he said, nodding in acknowledgement of the command. But it didn't stop her from thinking of how foolish it was. The man stood off to the side, probably not far enough away that he couldn't hear them. So what was the point in hiding when it was so obvious things were being hidden? The moment the thought crossed her mind she pushed it away. If she could speak that way about Caspian and his father then she could say the same for herself. "None of us ever actualy wanted a normal life did we. Lucy always ran off and you always got into fights. Edmund and I were, more or less, outcasts. At least here we can have what we want." When she said this she put her hand over the one Caspian had put around her knowing she had meant him and that he would understand.

Caspian smiled and wanted to kiss her, but thought better of it because her father was standing right there. So instead he squeezed her hand, letting her know that he felt the same. "And I'm glad that you're all here." Caspian said. "Narnia wouldn't be the same without you four." By this he meant Susan, Peter, Lucy and Edmund. He didn't even know the Pevensie's father. In fact, Caspian hadn't even introduced himself. He felt it was okay for now though, because it would keep conversation to a minimum.

Caspian stepped forward hearing them talk about him and bowed to the father of what may someday be his daughter. After the introduction of himself and his son he pulled him away by his arm away from the others much more harshly than he shouldv'e. Caspian was only a boy, too young to fully understand the things that he needed to know just yet. But somehow, listening to them talk had given him an idea, one that needed to be carried out without anyone knowing but the one carrying out the order. Aslan has been helping the dead. He pulled Caspian along until they were far from the castle, far out of earshot.

Susan only watched as Caspian was torn from her grip by his father. She wanted to go after them, but decided that there was something the two of them needed to settle alone, otherwise he wouldn'tve left. So she stayed there with her father wondering about who Syria was.

Caspian hadn't known that his father was listening to them. He was shocked when he felt a hand on his arm. It wasn't Susan's, and he snarled at it as his eyes looked up at its owner. The shapeshifter. By the time Caspian had thought to fight back, they were already outside. "Let go of me!" he barked, drawing his sword. "Tell me what the bloody hell is going on or I swear I'll run you through with this." He tore his arm from his father's grip and began to run back to the Castle. He didn't want to leave Susan or the others. Not alone with that man, not alone with anyone.

Good, he is more strong willed then I hoped. Must come from his mother." He let go just as Caspian wanted, but as he did he became the great tiger that had once faced him before, with a few exceptions. This tiger had great wings that stretched from his sides. He raised them and dropped them heavily launching himself into the sky. He then breathed in deep, exhaling afterward letting loose a pillar of flame, one of the exceptions of being a tiger, and formed a ring of fire around him. "I intend to see you try boy, I truly do."
