"Ah, and still of a useless mind." Caspian said, as if he were disappointed. "I've left you plenty of chances to kill me, and you haven't taken them. Such a shame, you are..." his voice trailed, and he hacked his sword at Lamont quickly. He hoped to surprise him by doing so. Caspian pulled back and hacked again, striking out like a snake.

Susan stopped fleeing to lean against a tree. She was tired, too tired. The child in her was heavy this time, heavier than Galen was. The thought of giving birth to a child this large was frightening to say the least. But somehow she would manage. But now, of all times, it slowed her down. But after a moment's rest she would keep going. She had to be at least half way home. There Peter or Edmund or Reepicheep could help her.

Caspian couldn't risk looking towards the direction in which she had left. She was in Aslan's paws now. Caspian could only pray that she asked of his help, and didn't rely simply on the mortals of this world. He felt terrible, leaving her like this. He felt guilty dying and leaving her alone. but she wasn't really alone. No, not really. Aslan would be with her. Aslan would protect her. Always. And Peter and Edmund could help her. And then, when the full moon came, Caspian would be back with her.
He swung his sword at Lamont again, the tip of it tearing his cousin's shirt, barely missing the skin beneath. Caspian's heart sank, and all he could think was one word. Shit. Shit shit shit shit shit. Lamont had been working in England. Caspian's muscles matched Lamont's now. But Lamont had magic too. And Cotnar, and whatever the hell that jewelry was. And training from another world. But the King still smiled and waved his hand. "Come on, fight me. Show me what you've got, Dwarf!" Caspian laughed. "Miny migit!"

The boy smiled as his clothes tore. He lauged as he saw fear cross over the boy's eyes. "I'm no diffrent than you now." He laughed knowing he saw the same. He was just as strong, just as fast, just as smart and just as old as Caspian was. his greatest advantage was his allies and his knowledge of the dark arts. But Caspian couldn't reconize that, couldn't know what he had planed. The boy would run willingly into it not knowing what he had done. "But I can still kill you." He ran towards his enemy, his sword aimed for his chest but his limbs prepared to shift the momtum in his body to parry or plack any form of Caspian's defence. But if he failed to protect himself fast enough then the sword would slide between his ribs and either strike his lungs or his heart. somehow or another he would scream.

She hadn't gotten up yet. It had been long enough and she still couldn't push her way away from the tree and run. Well, she wouldn't run. it could hurt their child. but she still had to put more distance between her and Lamont as much and as fast as possible. The next time she tried she still did not leave but slid down the trunk of the tree and sat on the ground. She put her hand on her stomach. "Come on, little guy, let momma up."

Caspian smirked and leapt up into the tree, allowing Lamont's sword to slice into the trunk. Luckily, there were no live trees over here. Not any that could feel pain. He jumped down again, making good point to shove his cousin away from the blade with his feet. Surprisingly, though, Caspian pulled the sword from the trunk and tossed it back to Lamont. "Nice move." he said. "But you'll have to do better."
His heart nearly stopped. He didn't have to be near or around Susan to know how she was doing. After a while, he just simply knew. She wasn't gaining any ground. A breeze blew softly through the trees, and Caspian inhaled it. If Susan wasn't going to ask for Aslan, Caspian would have to ask of him for her. Great Lion... he begged in his mind. To say anything aloud wouldn't be a good idea. Save sweet Susan... No, Caspian didn't have any mind powers. But Aslan did. And Aslan heard all things, said or unsaid, past, present, and future. Susan would be moving quickly, and with that would come Caspian's death. But he would hang in there till the end. He swung his sword harshly at Lamont again, going for an upper cut this time.

"Coward!" Lamont roared as he leapt into the tree like a monkey. He had good thoughts as to why he had not come down right away to fight: susan distracted his thoughts. Much to his advantage. "What, to weak to get back down here. You spent all that time asking for just one hour and then you'd fight, but you still keep running away like a little baby. I can't blame you though. You never had someone to teach you to fight, to stand your ground. That's a job for your father. But you never had one did you. Even then, your mother was a better fighter than your father ever could be. but where is she? Oh, right, with us. Oh, well. My family may be dead, but at least they're loyal."

Galen woke in her arms and instantly cried. If he was to loud someone would hear them, lamont would find them. No. Lamont was fighting with caspian and caspian would win. He knew what was at stake, his children, his wife, his crown, he couldn't leave them behind. He wouldn't. So she didn't need to worry about lamont. His demon master was a diffrent story. With all the. Fear of caspian running off to die she had forgotten about him. But maybe he wouldn't go looking for her. He did after all have Lucy to take care of. Lucy. She was still somewhere- stop! she was supposed to be focused on running, that came first. But she had to find strength from somewhere.

"IT'S BECAUSE OF YOUR FATHER THAT MY FATHER IS DEAD!" Caspian bellowed, lashing his sword out at Lamont in his rage. But he calmed. This wasn't the time to let anger control him. "Your move, bastard." he hissed.
A creature moved through the trees, invisible to all but the Queen. It stopped and scooped her up upon its back and continued on to the castle. "Susan." came the voice from the animal. Aslan. He chuckled softly, his voice only able to be heard by her. "It's been so long since I've carried you on my shoulders." he said.

Lamont smiled as he yelled but backed away from his blade. "Not entirely." He laughed, "My father gave your's a chance to escape with your mother and you. But he didn't take it. He said he would rather see you die. Do him a favor and fulfill your father's wish." He came again.

"Aslan" Susan leaned into his mane when he realized where he was. "how could I doubt you would come. Thank you." but the curse that followed her sprang up. "But what about CAspian and Lucy. The demon has her. He's hurting her. If you are willing to come save me then save her. she at least is worth the rescue. I want to go back and help Caspi. I'm afraid I might lose him tonight. I can't lose him Aslan, I just can't.I'd rather you leave me and save him. I can still reach the castle and warn the narnians before they can reach us." she could hear him scream. She couldn't tell if he spoke of if it was out of pain or triumph, but he had screamed. "please take care of him."

"Your husband and I have had a long chat." Aslan said. "What happens to him tonight has purpose, Susan, and you have to understand that. But don't worry, little one, you will see him again on the full moon. Not long. And you will be safe." He looked back at her and gave her a little wink. "Don't you worry. I know what I'm doing, and so does he. As for Lucy, she will be safe too. Do not think for a moment that that creature in chains is your sister. Once the souls of the past have reached My Country, they are safe. None can harm them in paradise." His tongue brushed her fingers that touched his mane. "Let your heart and mind rest, dear one. You have struggled much, but know that I will always love you, and will never abandon you." Then he changed the subject, feeling that all was said that needed to be said. "How's the baby?" he asked. "Doing well, I trust?"
"Your father never gave mine a chance." Caspian hissed. "He was killed in his sleep by Katrina. There was no chance." This time he put the point of his blade close to the ground and swung up, hoping to strike his body or face. He sneered. An eye would be nice.

she wanted to trust the lion, but she wanted to go back and protect him more than anything. Even if it wasn't lucy, the thought of her being chained up again hurt her. But he was right and she had to trust him. Those who don't usualy end up dead or looking realy stupid. "You know how he is." She told him. she let go of his mane knowing he wouldn't let her fall no matter how fast he went and wrapped her arms around her child. He was still to young for her to feel his movements, but she still felt comfortable this way. "As far as I can tell he's no diffrent than Galen, but I can't know until he's older."

"He's different." said the Lion. "Each of your children are different. This one will be strong and wise." He looked up, the castle just ahead of them now. "Your daughters wanted me to give you a message. They say that they love you and Caspian, and they wait patiently for you in my Country." Aslan chuckled, "Many years from now, when you get there, they have a surprise for you."

Lamont steped back as he gave a far to predictable blow. The moment his sword was raised he didn't use his sword but his fist hitting him hard in the face. For a moment he could ony laugh. "He wasn't asleep when he died, he was wide awake. Katrina couldn't handle killing him in his sleep. He knew he was going to die, even wanted it to be with your mother. It's a pity she was never actualy dead so he died in vain i'd think. but still, he had his chance. I'd imagine if he didn't act so ready for death the elf would have freed him."
