"GO!" The demon roared and all of them broke into a run after her. With his teeth he gripped Lucy's chains and slung her on his back without a break in stride. It was not too long before he was in front of him snarling and growling. Lamont and Miraz stayed behind him on both sides. He could not keep running. "You would deny your sister Caspian, your own family? If that be the case I want my daughter, my Agrona that you stole and renamed, back. I figured you would be a better man when it comes to family, why else would you force poor susan to carry your children so soon. Or is the child she carries nothing more than a mistake thanks to your own immature desires."

Susan shook her head. She was hurting him. "I do believe Aslan. but she's right there." When she looked ahead of them and saw the lion standing in front of them with Lucy on his back she almost screamed. Now what. They were too far away for anyone to help them in time. Why did every fight have to happen when she left her bow and horn at home? Her body shook with furry as he insulted her husband. How dare he say Caspian was like that. but she didn't say anything - it was his fight.

"For your information," Caspian snapped angrily, "Susan and I planned our children. The night that she came back to me. Our child is the result of an act of both of our desires. That's what married couples do. They have a family to love and cherish. Unlike your pathetic theories, Cotnar, a husband and wife are meant to be equal and decide upon and do things together." He patted Susan's belly, "And this is Susan's and mine baby. We wanted him. And no, I am not forsaking anyone. Grant me one hour, gentlemen, and I will be with you to fight. Let us leave our women and children out of this and fight like men." He said. "Unless, of course, you are so undisciplined to even spare but an hour." he said challengingly. It would be a disgrace for Cotnar not to grant it. Even as a demon lord.

cotnar rolled his eyes, a human reaction of annoyance he picked up by being around them. "It means nothing, I will give no time. no amount of disgrace could match what would come if I let them live tonight. They've grown old enough and they must die. This only concerns you because you are a fool. If you had any since or followed our ways you would leave, leave your precious, useless love, and you would live. She might survive if she doesn't struggle too much." His claws flexed and his body lowered ready to spring.

"Wait!" he said, protecting Susan with his body. "One hour, please!" he said. He searched his mind frantically. "If I don't return by then, you can take Secret. Or, Argona." he shuddered at the name, "Without a fight. But only if I don't return." that would be a physical promise. He would return to fight. And without Susan or his children. They would be safe. Still, trying to make a decent bargin that might be appitizing to Cotnar, Caspian added, "And I'll return with no weapon but my fists." He turned away from Susan. He didn't want to see her face.

She wrapped her arms tight around her children. Of course. LAmont wanted his son and the others dead. But he said they would die. Would they kill Galen too? It didn't matter, she wouldn't let him hurt them. Galen almost started to cry but she shushed him not knowing if it would do any good. It didn't. He was too scared. She tried to focus on Caspian, but her eyes kept going back to Lucy. Their eyes met once in a while. Before she could stop herself she asked, almost whispering, "Can't you do anything to prove that you are my little sister?" If she couldn't then she could hide behind Caspian until the battle was over. If she could . . . She wasn't sure what she would say or think or do.

He growled as he heard his offer, "No," he said without hesitation, "I don't want you." He took a step forward, his eyes leaving Caspian and landing on the princess's swollen stomach hungrily. "I'd rather lose the weak little traitor." he snarled when she spoke wondering if Lucy would answer. He knew she was real, it was him who gave her life. but how she could prove it he could not say. He didn't mind though, her knowledge of her sister would give her reason to stay, no matter how dangerous she knew it would be. None of the Narnians would dare give their country to the same age of darkness and sadness it was in when young Lucy was his prisoner. The girl looked away for a moment lost in thought over what to do. Maybe she was thinking that if she just did nothing Caspian and Susan would not believe she was real and move on. It would be like her, letting them believe she was still dead despite the punishment. But she seemed to find some other reason to disagree, one he didn't know and probably wouldn't understand. She twisted in her bonds and pulled at her sleeve. Eventually the weak fabric ripped making them wider and letting it's little treasure fall. It seemed like only a child's toy, maybe something she made back in England. It was a circlet of flowers, perfectly made, that seemed t sparkle even in the early morning's dim light. It seemed too perfect to be made by a child, but he didn't care. He only wondered it it would be proof enough to make them stay.

Nicole had been flying over the forest when she spotted them. She had taken the form of a griffin. She growled through her teeth. She hated Contar. She hadn't seen him though since he had stalked them. Lamont was there to which made her even angrier. She needed to help Susan and Caspian. But how? Nicole landed a few feet away from them all. She was still in griffin form. And no one knew she could shapeshift other than Anna and that Joshua kid. She stared at them all not knowing what to do at that moment.

She wasn't sure how to understand the demon's responce. Why Caspian would willingly give away his half sister was mystery enough, but for her own father to trade her for Galen and Caspian's son was simply wrong. Even if it could destroy the threat and let Narnia live in peace forever she would not give either one of them, much less both. But Lucy had at least answered her. At first it seemed like she was hurting herself trying to get to the flowers, but when she saw them she understood. Susan and Caspian both had flowers that were almost exactly the same given to them by her unborn children. Lucy and Aslan protected and raised them in his country and they were both there when they gave her the flowers to begin with. It had to be her, there was no other explination. no one else knew about them except for the five of them. She forced herself to look away from them more than fully convinced of what she saw and looked to her husband waiting for his responce.

Caspian looked down at his wife. "Susan," his voice was beyond begging now. It was like a hungry peasant's voice, pleading for food. "My darling, promise me. Please." he needed her promise. He needed her to be safe. And he had to get her to a safe location. The Castle. He began to walk swiftly away again, almost running. He knew things, but couldn't tell her. It had to be done. Now. His face was sad and grave, and he met her eyes finally. "Susan." he said her name again, loud enough to grab her attention. "I need your promise. You don't understand..." his voice trailed. "Sweet, sweet Lover. I need your words..." a tear was blinked away. His heart was racing. He knew what was to come soon. Too soon. He didn't want her around for it. "Trust in Aslan, Susan. Have faith in him. And through him you will be victorious."

She looked up at him and put her hand on the side of his face when she saw the tear. why was this promise hurting him so much? Would he even go back for Lucy? Did he even notice her flowers? She didn't understand how her promise to believe could make him happy, but if it did . . . "I promise." She said, but only right after she said them she knew what she should have said, "But you must come back as well." She wanted him to come home safe to his sons more than she wanted Lucy back. She hated the thought of it, but she was sure she would understand.

Devon stood there waiting for a chance to strike at lamont once again, He had his chance to try and kill him in the desert, but now he stronger, faster, and more intellgent, he stood there looking on at all of them, he noticed something in the sky,... but it dissapeared, Devon followed what he saw he wanted to know what it was. He kept walking for a sec to see a griffon he was behind it and he touched it " Wow I have never seen one in person who are you" Devon took out his daggers and threw them to the side just in case this was anna was near. Devon looked back at them he picked up his daggers and walk towards them and showed himself. He took a look at anna and caspian "need some help here" Devon showed himself once again without warning at all.

Lamont watched as his prey feld once more. He always thought to protect his Susan, but she was not his and never was. She belonged to the rightful king, to the son of Miraz. And he would ensure that it would be that way. He almost ran after them when he hesitated to think. Caspian would seperate himself from Susan in a foolish attempt to keep her safe. He was more than clearly the better fighter than Caspian was. They would fight once more. The trees will remember this day as his blood stains their roots. But he would have to be cautious, he couldn't leave Susan alone. Perhaps there was another way. "Ciski!" He called to the woods and the demon half brother of Caspian bounded forward. "You know what to do." He nodded and bounded away into the forest where Caspian dissapeared with his love. Lamont followed but not as closely.

Cotnar watched as Lamont left with his son. He was more than sure of what Lamont was going to do. He lowered his head beside Lucy's laughing to himself when he felt her shake. "Would you like to see your brother die?" He growled and gripped her chains and left. Miraz followed after. Neither would take part in Caspian's dual, but they would ensure there would be no interfearence. Not from Peter or Edward, not from the wand-weilding traitor, not from the griffon, and not from Aslan.

Nicole put out a talon and stoped Devon from getting closer. WHY did he always have to appear at the wrong time? nicole would of chukled to herself but this was neighter the time nor place. Nicole continued to watch them. Her eyes like dagers. If eighter Lamont or Contar or any of the others made a move to hurt Caspian or susan Nicole would strike. Nicole bent her head down to look Devon in the eyes. She knew he didn't recognize her. "Be careful. This time it isn't just us. We have Susan and Caspian to protect. It's not like at the desert." she wispered. Hopefully Devon would remember that fight. They had gotten seperated that was when Nicole had met Kumi. The white fox Devon had. Nicole looked back up now she wished she had broughten her sword.
