"Of course I'll teach you!" he said excitedly. To teach her would be to see her again. And maybe she might even like him, at least as a friend. "And I could make the wand for you!" his happiness grew. "A year? I could have it ready for you in a month!" his hand hit the bed in determination. "Just give me the words!" Kioh's face beamed proudly.

"Atra Du Agaetí Blödhren moi du deloi," She said intentionlay slow to keep herself from starting the spell and killing herself. She closed her eyes as she thought of every word letting her pronucniation be perfect "Atra Du Agaetí Blödhren moi pömnuria hjarta. Atra du evarínya ono varda. Atra gülai un ilian taught ono un atra ono waíse skölir frá rauthr." She opened her eyes as she finished, "The spell is not long, but it is life draining and time consuming. I struggled for a long time and I don't know how I survived. I will have to give you my energy so that you can make it my wand, follow my heart, not yours."

"Alright." said Kioh, memorizing the words in his head. His mind spoke them over and over, until he could remember each one. "When do we start?" he asked, smiling. He was happy that he could help her. And once her wand was made, Kioh could teach her the wonderful elven magic that he had grown up with.

"You can start whenever you think you should." She told him hoping he would decide to start as soon as possible. The sooner she had her wand back the better. "But give me enough time to fall asleep first so the energy won't be drawn from me as quickly."

Kioh nodded. "We can start tonight then." he said. "Do you know how to draw energy from me while you're sleeping?" inquired the elf. "You'll need to know how to do that before we start. I don't want to run out of your energy and put you in danger." Kioh told her.

"You draw it from me, not the other way around," She told him not thinking there was a word in their language he did not know being that he had sung the flowers so well. "finna eka Katrina's vanyalí, is all you say and my strength will be yours. But you must watch me carefuly because I will not know how close to death I come. I could easily die and never know."

"That's what I'm saying. I will be using your energy, though mine is still untouched. Should you come close to death, you must draw upon my energy and make it your own. And then I may draw it back from you. In this way, you are guaranteed safety." Kioh said wisely. "Do you know how to draw energy from someone as you sleep?" the elf asked again.

"Not while I sleep." She told him, "You know well enough by now that our spells have to be thought without a single doubt or distraction to take effect. Only the most powerful of magicians can master the art of speechless spells. But for the rest of us speaking is the only way we can garuntee the spell will take proper effect. I cannot take energy myself, but you can draw it from other sourses around us, from the ants to the trees, to even the flowers you gave me. But I warn you that drawing to much magic from a creature or plant will result in it's death."

"I know." Kioh said. "But it has to be your energy to make it your wand. And you can draw energy from me while you sleep. It's simple. Elves don't really 'sleep' like humans do. You are still aware of the things that are going on around you. Just focus on me and then draw the energy when yours runs low, and then I'll draw it back from you and use it to make the wand." It made sense to him, but he wondered why it wasn't making sense to her. "Trust me. You'll see." Kioh said, and smiled. She really had missed out on a lot of the magic. But he would teach her. "And anybody can do speechless magic. It just takes a bit of practice, that's all." Kioh glanced out the window. "Where are we going to sing the tree?" he asked her.

"My energy giving must be continious," She told him sadly, "Master was more than clear that I cannot stop giving my strength once I have begun, even to draw in more energy. Six apprentices he said he lost this way before he came to me. If you give me the energy then it will be mine once it passes through my mind. The task is hard and your life is at risk. You will have to supply yourself and possibly me. Are you more than certain you want to continue?"

"I can do that." he said. Kioh had an idea. "Take my energy first. You'll have twice as much as normal, but that's okay. Then, once I begin to sing, I'll be drawing from you, and you won't run out." he smiled. "And of course I want to continue. We'll have you a wand in no time!" Kioh smiled broadly. The man looked out the window at the sky. It was growing darker out there now, but its many colors still clung to the horizon, trying desperately to keep themselves from slipping off the edge of the earth. "If we're going to start tonight," he said, "We should probably get some dinner and head outside."

"You must conserve your own energy for the spell," She told him, "I will feed off the earth itself but I cannot take it from you. The only reason you draw from me is so the wand will be my own. But otherwise your only goal sould be to focus on the spell and continue to draw strength from me. Not an ounce of your strength should flow into me, for the missing energy would be your death before the spell hardly began. I will not take from you, but the earth, it's plants, it's beast, even the smallest of them, and it will be enough to survive."

Kioh nodded. "Alright." he said. "Whatever you say, Chief." How different this spell was from the others of the elven language. Kioh would have to be careful to learn as much as he could about it before starting the song. To supply both of them with energy from the earth. To draw energy from her. To sing the words correctly. Yeah, he could do it. She needed him to. His stomach growled. "Let's get some food first." he said, and began to walk slowly out of her room, waving his hand and hoping that she would follow. "Are you hungry?"

She nodded and followed. At first she thought to hesitate but didn't realizing it would be easier for him if she was actually around the things he needed to draw strength. At his request she knew she couldn't simply summon the food from the air anymore. She would have to actually find someone who had made and prepared it, something she hadn't done in so many years. For a short moment she went through her mental archives trying to find the foods that supplied the most energy. Potatoes, pasta, and corn were the first things that came to mind. But she had never taken too much of a liking to corn really so she discarded them from the list. Potatoes and pasta, maybe with some melted cheese, yum. Wait no, have the pasta with the cheese and potatoes inside the pasta, just like master did. even better. The humans had something like that here, but what were they called? "Perogies would be a nice meal." She said smiling and bowing at the waist to her host.

"What are perogies?" he asked, trying to pronounce it like she did. Kioh bowed when she bowed, low and respectful. He lead the way down into the enterence hall. They couldn't go into the kitchen and ask for food. Only the Royals could do that. But the town would be a good place to grab a bite to eat, and the elf held the door open for her that lead them outside.
