Caspian lay there with her in his arms. His head snuggled against hers, and he could feel the warmth of her long black hair against his face. His eyes closed, though he wasn't sleeping. The King's hand wandered, but his other stayed on her neck. Caspian kissed her again. Then he chuckled as she spoke his name. "Susan..." he repeated, humor still in his voice.

Her eyes closed, just as his did, and she marvled at the sence of pleasure as his hand roamed freely over her body, searching for something in her it could never find. She rested her head against his chest and let him do as he pleased, knowing it pleased her just as well. She put her hands against his chest, lower than where her head lay, and let them drift down his body, tracing the hard line of muscle, and then back up to where it began. Several times she would repeat this never tiring of the feeling it gave her. There was long moments of this before she could speak again. But then, just as before, not much could escape her. "Caspian. . ."

"Yes?" he finally answered after hearing his name three times. His hand moved over her back, rubbing her shoulders and massaging her neck. Now it was his turn to steal a kiss from her, pulling away to look her in the eyes and await her answer. She was his Cuddle-bug, only his, and he stole another kiss on her neck before looking at her again, patiently waiting.

Her movements slowed as he spoke something other than before. It slightly broke the concentration her mind was leading her through without her knowledge. But still, because of his wonder and perferction, she strugled to speak from beneath his touch. And again, when she tried to speak, she found herself at a loss of words. But he asked her, as if he expected her to want something. "I love you," She said as he kissed her neck knowing it's all she ever, or will ever, want. She looked up in his eyes and found he could'nt look away. She was trapped, frozen in his gaze like a child under a witch's spell. Without looking away from his eyes she stroked his jawline softly.

Caspian closed his eyes again, enjoying the feel of her soft fingertips against his face. "I love you too." he said to her. Then he opened his eyes again to meet Susan's. Her's seemed to dazzle, as if all of the stars in the heavens had dripped down into them and were now as trapped as he was. Caspian was bewitched by those glittering eyes of blueish-grey, entranced by their beauty. His ability for speech was gone, running away from him and turning its head to taunt him, laughing at him because he could no longer talk. Caspian stroked the soft body of his child tenderly, but never looked away from Susan's gaze. A smile crept across his face before he kissed her nose softly.

She could feel a sound she made, much like a childish giggle, as he kissed the end of her nose. Never before could she remember him doing that. When he put his hand over her belly she put her hand over hers. She didn't want to, but the question escaped her lips the moment the spell he had put her under was broken. "How long until we see you?" She asked the child as if it could speak. She wondered if maybe it did hear her, it just didn't understand her strange language. But she let him stroke her and she put her own hands beneath his cloths and traced the lines his mucles made on his chest lost in the touch.

Caspian's smile grew wider when she giggled. He loved to hear her laugh, and he didn't get to hear it that often. When she spoke to the baby, his ears pricked up, as if listening for a response from his sweet child. No answer came to the two parents, but Caspian didn't mind. The baby could stay in there as long as it wanted. It was safer from Lamont and the rest of the world that way. But the man pushed the thoughts completely out of his mind, easier than normal this time. He enjoyed the way she stroked him, and his own hands brought her fingers to his lips and he kissed them. The ring sparkled on her left hand, even in the darkness. It was a joyous reminder that he would always be with her, through sickness and in health, for richer, for poorer... forever. Caspian embraced her, loving the fact that for once, they were safe and nothing could come barging in with danger or terrible news.

Her smile broadened, yet again as he kissed her hand. She too noticed her shimmering ring and took hold of his right hand. "You need a ring for yourself," She told him. Because they had rushed to be married neither of them had a wedding ring. Any who, by an impossible chance, did not know of their wedding would not have had a way to know. Still within his arms she turned, gently pressing her back against his chest and her head not far below his face. She held his hands, crossing them over her chest, just as they had when they had danced earlier.

"We can get one later." he told her. Everything today had been so rushed, Caspian liked just relaxing. His white teeth could be seen in the darkness when he smiled. "Cuddle-bug." he called her, as he always did. The man bent his head to kiss her neck. "I'm so happy that you're my wife." he told her. "I think that Narnia is happy about it too." he kissed her again. He loved that she could always make him joyful, no matter how dark the day was. He loved that he had a family now. It felt good to have someone to go to, someone to talk to, someone to love. For so long he had to live without one, and now he had two new members on the same day. Susan and the baby were officially his family now.

"I know," She said in a voice not much more than a whisper "I love to call you husband." Caspian had no flaws, so far as she could tell. Many times she had begun to doubt if he was human, or if there was some cestial being in his blood. he was too kind, too understanding. He had accepted her, the lowest of all women, and called her lover. He lead his people fairly and well, better than any other leader, maybe even better than her or Peter. All of Narnia loved him, none were heartless enough to see what they had and turn away from it. Even one of the greatest of their enemies, the changeling, had been won over to their side because of him. He had done something that, in her years of schooling in england, she had never seen before. He took intrest and responsibility in a child that was not hers. Even better, when she felt his hand over it she could see the look of love in his eyes for it. He was a perfect king, a perfect lover, a perfect father, and she was the one lucky girl because she was his wife.

Caspian kissed her again. "Thank God I have you, Susan." he said to her. Whenever he was feeling down, she always knew how to comfort him. Whenever he was happy she always shared in his happiness. It was because of her that he could lead this country. Because he had her by his side, Caspian could do anything. And it was because of her, that Caspian was not on the floor right now weeping. Had she not come back from England, that's probably what he would be doing. Still mourning her and being what others would call a weak man. He would be running through the forests, carving her name into every tree. But she had come back, and that was all that mattered to him. She was kind, and fit her title. The Gentle Queen. She did not take pleasure in the deaths of her enemies, and wept for them when the life vanished from their eyes. But she was brave, and would do what she had to. She had a heart of gold and a pure spirit. Susan was perfect in every way. The only that worried Caspian was her low self esteem. She was so wonderful, yet she could not believe it herself. For the rest of his days, Caspian made a promise to himself that he would help her get that back.

"Thank Aslan I have you." she said altering his words slightly. She let go of his hand and put it over her child. Immediatly she took his hand and put it where hers had been. The child was bigger and stronger now. It was the first time she had been able to feel him kick from the outside this time. It didn't hurt her, and if it did she was too happy to notice pain. Again as Caspian's palm met with its home it seemed to move towards his hand and he kicked again. Susan smiled and almost laughed. "He says the same."

Caspian nearly jumped out of his skin. His entire body was lifted several inches off the bed before coming back down again on the soft matress next to his lover. "It moved!" he exclaimed, sitting up. "It really moved! I could feel it!" Caspian was smiling happily now. His child was strong and healthy, just like its mother. His hand went back to her belly, stroking the baby. "Hey, little one." Caspian said, speaking to it.

She laughed at him as he jumped. Never before had she seen him react to anything so surprised and yet so happy. "I think he already knows you," She told him still almost laughing as he continued to move so his father could know his strength but not fast enough that it seemed abnormal to him, "Somethimes when you touch him I can swear he moves closer to my skin, just to be with you."

Caspian smiled happily. Not only did he have a family, he was loved by his family. Even the youngest. He kissed Susan and then kissed her belly, wondering what the baby would do. Caspian cuddled her as he did before, keeping a hand on her belly. Would it be a boy or a girl? What color hair would it have? Would it be strong? What color would its eyes look like? What would his or her face look like? All of these questions ran through his head, and he kissed Susan again. "I love you both." he told her.
