She sighed, wrapping her arms around her waist. At least he still cared for her...
"Peter... I don't think that's a good idea..." she whispered, looking up at him. She smiled, and pushed his bangs away from his face, fingers brushing his cheek.
"Lamont wants you dead... going to see him isn't a good idea, love..."
It was the first pet name she called him, and it mad eher blush a bit. Letting her hand drop to her side, she thought a moment, then looked up at him with a sad smile.
"Please... I'll stay with you if you promise me you won't go get yourself in something that could get you killed. I care to much Peter... please. If I lost you I... I'd kill myself."
A bold statement, but a true one. She meant every word.

Peter smiled as he felt her fingers against his cheek. He covered her hand in his and looked at her lovenly. He sighed, seeing that he was defeated in this. "Allright dear," Peter told her softly. "I'll be careful and be a good big boy," he grinned as he said this.

"Good. Besides... I want to stay with you..." she said, smiling, then leaned against him, enjoying a moment of silence with him. A few minuites ago, she'd thought she was going to lose him.
That's love, I suppose... she thought, laying her head on his strong chest. She wanted to stay there forever, close to him, and just relax. Being with him was the most realxing thing she'd ever experienced...

Peter chuckled as he wrapped both arms around her waist. He held her close to him. He was going to be very protective of her from now on. "I love you Lyric," he told her with a smile and a twinkle.

"I love you too..." she mumbled into his shirt. He smelled like...well, she wasn't sure, but it smelled very good. She inhaled, deeply, and smiled, almost dream like, looking up at him.
"I really am sorry, though.... for lying to you..."

"Its allright," Peter told her with an easy smile. "I can understand if its your life at risk..." his voice trailed off. He began to wander if this was how Ed had felt when he was with the witch. "But I am going to talk to Lamont,"

Her smiled faded to a look of concern, and she reached up and touched his cheek, eyes reflecting her worry.
"Are you all right, though, Peter? It's like... something's bothering you..."
She'd sensed it for awhile and seen it in his expressions. He was being bothered by something, she could tell.

Peter shook his head, still thinking. "Just remembering the battle with the witch is all," he told her. He laid his head on her shoulder. "Everything's fine my dear. Just that Lamont is about to get a sword stuck in his heart the next time I see him," he had a calm look.

She frowned a bit. He deserved it, but something about his words didn't settle right. She had a pretty good instinct that told her when one was lying. She placed bot hands gently on his cheeks, turning his head so he was looking at her.
"You can tell me anything you know, Peter" she said softly, looking him directly in the eyes "I'll understand."

Peter smiled as he leaned gently against her hands. "You have heard about how my siblings and I first arrived to Narnia?" he inquired. "Well Lu was the first one to arrive. Then Ed came in and he met the witch who..." Peter told her about the first battle. He kept his other thought to himself. He would talk to Lamont about the dark magic in him. He had a feeling the bastard had placed it in him.

She listened carefully, eyes widening at all the dramatic parts like a child hearing a bedtime story.
"Then... what's bothering you now?" she asked, tilting her head to the side a bit.

Peter shook his head. He didn't want to worry her. Then he heard his traitor mouth telling her about how he had not been feeling himself. How he had been thinking dark magic was in him and he had to see Lamont. "I'm pretty sure its him who placed the magic in me," he finished.

Her eyes widened in worry, and her hands slid to his chest, as if the dark magic was there.
"Oh, Peter..." she whispered, weakly, then put her forehead to his chest, "I'm... I don't know anything about that, but he very well may have..."
She looked worridly at him.
"I wish I could help... I feel so useless..."

The great lion Aslan stepped forward from where he hid. He listened to the both of them since their coming to this place and had heard much more then he needed. When he was only a few feet away from the both of them he lowered his great body into a hunter's crouch growling. The great lion he may be, but that dose not take away his hunting abilities.
"High King Peter," He growled, "and Lyric, here to join us. For a first time, child, I know not if I am to punish or praise you. You have brought him here, to the place I now call home, just as I have asked." He moved close to her and licked her cheek, rarely taking his gaze from Peter. "Now that your lover has brought you to us, you will die."
(OOC: It's not Lamont, but I can stil have some fun here)

Peter nodded. "True, you'll never know though," he shrugged and then sighed. "I hope its true side never comes out," he added with a shake of his head. He stiffened when Aslan(or what it seemed to be him) appeared and licked Lyric's cheek. He let out a warning growl as he pulled out his sword. "Never threatened or touch her again," he warned.
