Anna stayed quiet, still combing the child's hair with her beak. Do you know what happened? she finally asked. The fire still glowed, and the animal could feel the warmth of it on her feathers. At least the rain had stopped now, too. The river would be safe again soon.

"If you mean everything about how sevoan was sealed in me. Yeah." Nicole responded. SHe let her eyes drift to the fire. "Anna, why did you fight Sevona for me?" Nicole had asked the question before she could stop herself. "i'm sorry." Nicole said after she had said it. "I was just wondering why you put yourself to the trouble for someone you don't even know."

"I feel responsible for you." said Anna. "And no one should have to be controlled by a demon. Especially not a child like you." It wasn't an insult or anything, it was just matter-of-fact. Annabelle let go of her shoulder and smiled as the blood stopped. "Why do you trust me though you know so little of me?" she returned her question with another.

Nicole smirked when Anna called her a child. "So that's how you see me. I thought maybe.......nevermind." Nicole stopped thinking about how she would approach this. "I mean its just so easy to befriend someone when you have no one left." Nicole didn't know what else to say that was basically it. "Don't get me wrong i am really happy i met you but i probably would of been the same with anyone. It is one of my downsides that i truast people so easly." Nicole was quiet that was all see could think about without crying.

"It's alright." Anna said, comforting her. "You are a child to me, only because I am that much older than you. But I am happy and proud to call you my friend." she said, tucking her under her wing.

Nicole was happy about a lot of things lately. She was happy she had met Anna and happy she could tell someone about herself finally. There was also bad things too tho, like the demon sevona, her brother, and of course Lamont. "I understand, i think. I'm happy your my friend too. So how about that second flight?" Nicole asked in a taunting tone. "your still gonna let me have another try right?"

Anna laughed, and then coughed sorely. "What has that fall done to you, child?" she asked. "That was a nasty drop. Are you feeling okay?" Annabelle put a tallon against the girl's forehead and smiled, trying not to laugh again. "Of course I'll let you fly again." she answered. "But not right now. First your wounds will heal. Then you can fly properly."

"i'm fine. I was just kidding." Nicole said laughing with Anna. Nicole wasn't really scared of heights anymore though for some reason. "Fine, you win." Nicole said teasingly. Nicole had a felling this was going to be an interesting relationship.

Anna coughed a second time. "I have to go down to the river to get some water." she said. "Do you want to come with me?"

"Sure. Why not?" Nicole answered. " Hey maybe thequestion should be are you ok?" Nicole asked. SHe was worried she didn't want her friend to be hurt she wanted to help. "Is there anything i can do?"

Anna stepped out of the cave, careful not to let herself limp in front of Nicole. "I'll live." she said, taking the child onto her back and swooping down to the water, finding a large rock to land on and quickly drinking the cool water of the river.

Nicole loved the wind in her face as they soared to the bottom of the canyon. SHe quickly got off to let Anna drink. "THat was fun. Does it always feel that good to have the wind in your face and feel free?" She asked Anna.

Anna swallowed and gasped, thankful for the cool water. "That was nothing." she said. "Normally I'd let you do flips and spins and summersaults and stuff like that." said the animal, smiling and drinking again.

Nicole smiled and watched Anna drink. "Let's do it sometime when we BOTH feel better." Nicole said looking up at the sky this really was the wierdist day ever.

When Anna was finished she wiped her mouth on her feathers and shook her whole body from head to tail. She put the girl on her back again and took off, gliding above the trees. "You're really not afraid of heights anymore?" she asked.
