Anna nudged the side of her limp body with her beak worriedly. Wake up child. she said, but when Nicole wouldn't move, the griffin left. She found a dead tree and drug it back to the little tiny cave, trying her best to ignore the pain that erupted in her throat. She used her claws to peel away the wet layers, and when she finally hit dry wood, she took in a deep breath. Her body tensed, unsure of the pain that was to come. She lit the tree ablaze, the fire not doing anything to help her wound. Anna kept herself from screaming, knowing that to do so would only hurt worse. She carried the firey branch over to where Nicole laid and put a wing over the small girl, helping her to warm up and dry off. Wake up, child. she repeated, still concerned.

(It was dark, nicole was running through the forest trying hard to get home. She skidded to a stop her house was being destroyed by flames her mother, father, and brother still inside. Not caring about the danger she jumpped through the window, racing to find her parents and brother. "Mother, Father,Andrew!" she screamed, but her voice was caught as shse inhaled the smoke. SHe coughed, it was getting hot fast she couldn't bear it as she feel to the floor not able to find her brother or parents. Nicole coughed as the flames got closer. A person then walked from the flames the man who had tricked me and had been using me walked out. "Be brave child" he said with his deep menencing voice"you will come to me i know where your brother is so you can repay him for the murder of your mother and father." The flames died away and he disappeared.) I woke up to Anna's wing around me and a branch on fire close to me. My clothes had dried and i wasn't cold anymore. I couldn't pull myself from the dream though. "i'm so sorry Anna." i said coughing.

For what? she asked. You just scared me, that's all. The griffin set the sword by the fire so that it would dry and wouldn't rust. Are you alright, Nicole? asked the lion-bird. She was protective of the human children. She didn't know why. And she always seemed to make friends with the orphans. Anna looked at her, and then blew the smoke away from her face when she realized that it was making her cough.

"You had to use your throat to do this it must of hurt really bad." i answered her thought. "I'm okay"i said trying to stand up. My knees were a little shakey but i got up. My body felt weird though like i had to do something that very second. Thats when his words entered my head as i felt the change happen again as my eyes turned scarlet and i wanted to see blood.

It's alright. she thought, and looked at her when she sensed rage. Her eyes were red, though Anna wondered if she had been crying, or if this was one of those things that she had told her about. Nicole? Annabelle asked, watching her expression. What are you doing?

Nicole laughed "What do you think bird-brain i'm going to go kill my brother and any one who gets in my way." she said her voice changing to a deeper more evil tone. "Are you one of those people who get in the way?" she asked walking over to her sword as it flashed blue with magic as she touched it.

Anna wrenched the sword from Nicole's grip and picked her up, flipping her over carefully onto her belly and placing a paw over her back, applying just enough pressure so that the girl couldn't move. No. she said. I'll help you. But first you need to snap out of this.

"Coro oni tie!" she spoke as nicole gained strenght beond that of the griffin. She jumpped pushing the griffin off and turned in the air. "Sily beast if that's all you've got i'll tear you to shreads." she growled. Even without her sword Nicole had an unlimited use of magic she could rely on. In this state not even Aslan had a chance though she really didn't feel like fighting the lion just yet.

I don't want to hurt you. Anna thought. She picked Nicole up and placed a paw over her chest, pinning her against the wall. But the griffin wouldn't do anything more than that. You have to calm down. If you don't, you'll do something that you'll regret. Just like you told me. You killed that innocent lady, and right now all you want is to take a life. You don't like this. You don't want this. You're not like this, Nicole. Anna thought. The voice that she spoke to her with inside her head was calm and patient.

Everything within her screamed for this to end. She didn't want to use magic against Anna let alone fight her. The other side was stronger though more powerful than Nicole had ever imagined though. SHe couldn't brake free not this time. "Pathetic fool, the girl you seek is deep within me now. She is no longer the real Nicole i am thanks to him." she laughed it felt good to have this much power again. "You are mistaking if you believe i was ever part of that girl i am a person by myself and shall no longer be called by her name. I am Sevona."

No. Anna said. You are Nicole. And this isn't you. This is your other side. So long as you are within your own mind, you are still Nicole. You are alone and frightened and angry and cold and wet. You are not a murderer. she said, standing on her hind legs so that she was eye level with her. You are not a murderer. she repeated, staring into her eyes. You are not a murderer. Anna didn't eve blink. You are not a murderer.

"Your right she isn't."she said looking away"but..............i am!" Sevona kicked the wall causing the cave to shake. Once there was an opening Sevona kicked Anna right in the ribs sending her away from Sevona. "You are mistaking Anna, that man ten years ago didn't just trick Nicole he scealed me into her." Sevona said laughing. "Remember when she old you she had holes in her memory that was one of them." Sevona laughed. SHe quickly grabbed her sword and gave a look to Anna and jumped. "Bye!" sevona said as she leaped out of the cave.

Anna bounded after her, limping slightly. The girl had caught the griffin's leg as well when she kicked her. Get back here! You'll catch that girl a cold! It wasn't long before the back of Nicole's shirt was in her beak. Anna shook the sword away from her. Whether you like it or not, Sevona, so long as you are within this girl, you share her properties. That includes fear. Anna flew high above the ground, and then flew left, above the canyon, where the river raged. You are terrified of heights, and need I remind you that without this girl you cannot live. Anna would never drop Nicole, but Sevona didn't know that. And Sevona had to share the girl's fear of high places.

Sevona growled as she was taken higher. She didn't understand how this was alarming her. She had never been afraid before but why now. Sevona groaned when she looked down the river below a terror. "I may share her feelings but i don't share the same power even if you dropped me in this state i would survive..............i am a demon." sevona said. Nicole's fear slowly killing her. "Drop me." she yelled. It would be good because soon the fear would overwelm her enough to let nicole boil up.

Not yet. she said, buying time so that maybe Nicole would come through. I'm right. Anna said, You are afraid. And soon even Nicole won't be able to save you from this fear. she was bluffing, but wanted to make it sound as realistic as possible. To add effect, the griffin tossed her up in the air and letting her fall a foot or so, catching her legs in her talons so that the girl faced downward toward the river, still never dropping her.
