"You're quick to look for something." She said putting her hand over his. After a moment she began to think that there had not been enough time for him to break the habit rather than him doing it for her son. "He wont be big enough to notice you for a few weeks."

Kioh sat in the trees, eating a variety of fruit from the island that he carried in a basket. Such items were only found on the island, and made for a very tasty meal. He heard some voices, and concealed himself into the branches, watching. And who should be walking the land, but the King and Queen of Narnia? The very man that had stolen the heart of the girl he loved and chewed it up and spit it out as if Katrina were no more than a chew toy. His jaw clenched, but relaxed soon afterward. Caspian loved Susan, and because he didn't care for Katrina meant that she still might love Kioh, some day. He watched them carefully, wondering what they might be doing on the island. He hadn't seen a ship come in, nor any flying beasts carry them through the air.

"I know." he said, smiling at her. "But that's alright. He's my son, and I love him already." Caspian bent and kissed her belly tenderly, and then searched for the food that would give her strength again. "And I love you, too." he told her.

"I love you more," She said as her eyes caught a small group of red-capped mushrooms and looked away. "But he's still got a long way to go."

He looked in the direction that she was looking. "Are those edible?" Caspian asked, bending down and scooping them up.

The elf ran from the tree. "Don't eat those!" he said. "Those are poisonous!" he knocked them from Caspian's hand and scooped one up, turning it over so that they could see the blue underneath the top. "You see? I have food, if you're hungry." he pointed to the basket that had been left at the tree.

"Who are you?" She asked. She didn;t reconize the new boy, but he had helped them from hurting themselves, possibly dieing. And he had food. But she wouldn't be rude. "Thank you," she said bowing a little. She had little intention eating them because she knew so many mushrooms were poisionous, but the help was good.

"Kioh, your Majesties." he bowed to the King and Queen. "And you're welcome." he passed them the basket of fruit. He glared at Caspian for a moment, but it faded. "What brings you to the island?" he asked.

Caspian's eyes showed his surprise when the elf came running full speed at them. He nearly threw the mushrooms down on the ground, and stepped infront of Susan defensively. "What the hell?" he said out of shock, and then, "Thanks for that."

"We're running away." She told him but wondered how much she should say. "We were attacked and somehow we ended up here, but I don't know how and I'm still worried." She didn't think to tell him of her mission to destory Tash or the fact that she was pregnant. He may figure it out on his own. But if he was an enemy, whether he offerd food or not, she didn't want him knowing. She took an apple and sat down close to the cave where Caspian had found all of the gems. She didn't like being so close to a dragon's lair, abandoned or not, but was too tired to find another hiding place.

Caspian followed her, never taking his eyes off the elf. He didn't sit down next to he, but instead stayed standing beside her with his hand resting on his sword. "Thank you for the food." he said, though he himself took none. Caspian could provide for his own family, and didn't want anyone else having to help him do so. But still, Susan was eating. That was the important thing.

Kioh nodded again and sat down opposite them, showing that he was no threat. His sword laid across his knees, and he took a piece of fruit from the basket. He could sense the child's energies within the Queen, but said nothing. "You're welcome." he repeated as this time the King thanked him. Kioh glared at him again when he thought that they weren't looking. He didn't know what to think of the two of them. Caspian treated Katrina like dirt, and yet she loved him. For this, Kioh hated Caspian, but couldn't do anything about it because Katrina cared for him. Susan really hadn't done anything but loved Caspian, so Kioh didn't have anything against her, but Katrina didn't really like her a whole lot because she was Caspian's wife. The elf felt confused, and wasn't sure if it would be best to be kind or mean to them. He had already given them food, and they both fought for a common cause. Aslan.

"I haven't seen you in Narnia." Susan tried to learn more about this elf that kept looking at her husband. She couldn't tell if he liked or hated Caspian or not, but being that one of the people she ran away from had orders to kill Caspian, whether he wanted to or not, anyone could be the one who gave the order. "Do elves live only this far off the mainland."

"No." he said. "I just came here for the fruit. We live in the mainland." Kioh bit into his fruit and swallowed, his mind still going back and forth in confusion.

Caspian simply watched and listened to to their conversation, not saying anything. He was trying to decide if this fellow was friend or foe, but he was guarding Susan more than anything.
