Devon looked at her pick up kumi and pet her gentley " well u seem to be fond of her i see " Devon picked up bag" ill guess ill let kumi get some air poor little girl got scared when we got into the desert" Devon picked up kumi and she played in his lap as he saton the ground " I found kumi when she was a baby, she was under a tree cold, starving, so i picked her up took her home, If anything was to happen to kumi I don't know what I would do"

"It seems like you love her a lot." Nicole said she was happy for Devon and for kumi. It hit her then like a thousand needles. She heard them the ywere coming and quick. "They are coming. THey are coming fast, Lamount and the shape shifter." Nicole was confused she tought she had took care of the beast.

Devon took kumi and put her back in the bag "crap They found us where can we go" Devon looked around and saw a bunch of trees in a dark spot "come with me" Devon held her hand and took her over to the trees " okay just be quite ok i know what to do " Devon took out his daggers "We might have to fight again so take out ur weapon" Devon stood there silently

Nicole didn't need him to remind her she just hoped her other self wouldn't come out this time. She silently pulled out her sword as she knelt down in hte sand. "WHat exactly is your plan?" she asked him not taking her eyes off the direction she knew they were coming.

SHe looked away from him whe nshe heard his thought no one had ever saiid that before. SHe returned her gaze to the dust cloud that now was only a few miles away. SHe knew it was Lamont and the beast.
