Susan closed her eyes as she landed in the water beside him as he lead her to. Her fingers scrambled in panic for a moment for a handhold on his smooth armor, but could find none and simply wrapped her arms around her chest. She wasn't afraid of the water, it was the least of her worries. She was a good swimmer and had even taught Lucy to be one in England and enjoyed it when she could. But what she was afraid of was that she could not control herself here. Her lungs screamed for air and her body told her to strike until she had her freedom. but she didn't and held Caspian tighter. She opened her eyes and turned her head screaming a bubbly scream as she saw the shark coming for them. It was only after did she realize how foolish it was to waist her precious oxygen and she closed her eyes knowing she might not last much longer. But then, something changed. They wern't in the water anymore and she collapsed as her legs gave way and she coughed until she thought blood would come up. Thankfully it didn't. "What happened?"

Caspian hit the ground, laughing even though nothing was really funny at all. "We're safe! Susan, we're safe!" he exclaimed, crawlig over to her and patting her back lightly as she coughed. Caspian collapsed beside her, laughing agan. "We're really safe! Look!" he pointed to a pool of water not far from where they were, and tossed a rock into it. It didn't go anywhere but th bottom. Not to the desert oasis. Not anywhere. Just here.

"What did you do?" She asked happy to be free but not eager to be lost again, "Where are we? Where are the others? We left that girl alone with Lamont and Cotnar and the assisin. We have to save her. They'll rip her apart once they realize they can't find us. We have to go back." But then she thought of the child inside her and changed her mind, "At least you have to go back and try, but if you can't then come back before you get killed."

"But how?" he asked. "They can't get through, and we can't get back." Caspian pointed to the pebble in the center of the pool. He frowned. They had left the girl and bandit there. Caspian sat with his hand on his fist, thinking.

"But what did you even do? Whatever magic you used you should be able to use it again." She understood what he did. He was trying to protect her and their child and she would have asked for nothing less. But he had left behind one of their warriors leaving her as a sacrifice for their cause. "There must be something you can do."

"It was like the oasis was pulling me." he said. "I just knew that would bring us to safety. And it did. They can't come after us, and we can't go after them." he said. "I don't even know where we are." Caspian continued to think, trying to come up with a way to save the girl and man that had been helping them. "I'm working on it." he told her.

"So even if her being in danger wasn't a factor we're stuck in the middle of a desert who knows where. I can't stay like this for long. I've already gone too long without food and I . . . " She wouldn't say anything more. It scared her to much.

Gone . . . They were gone that fast. "YOU!" he roared raising his sword toward her. he didn't know this girl and it could have been some magic of hers that he was unfimilar with. "Where are they? Was this your doing?"

Nicole looked at the boy as he pointed his sword at her. "I would never tell the likes of you anything" She spat at him. She herself had no idea how Caspian had done such a thing but she wasn't about to tell the boy that. Nicole tried to stand putting her weight on her sword she was able to get up, but fighting that was a whole different thing. She didn't even have the energy to kill a fly. "This is what i get for going into a battle not prepaired." she thought to herself but if all else failed she did still have her "ace in the hole".

Devon Looked at Lamont and tooked out his daggers " Put down your sword and step away from the girl, this is between you and me now" Devon put his daggers up to his throat, " So what you gonna do curl up in ball like the coward you are ir are you gonna fight" Devon swept him off his feet to the ground with his daggers still at his troat

Nicole watched as the kid put his daggers to Lamont's throat. "Was this kid for real? Why did he wait all this time just to step in now." Nicole stood there as the kid tripped Lamont and held his daggers to Lamont's throat again. "Get away from him you idiot he can't be killed with just daggers! Weren't you listening to Susan and Caspian at all!" she yelled at him. Nicole wanted so much to have her strenght so she could fight Lamont after all he was the one who helped her brother. Maybe he knew where andrew was at this very moment maybe not. This was going to turn real ugly very soon if this kid kept insulting someone more powerful than him. Nicole knew deep inside Lamont was not human.

With a tiger's roar Cotnar struck. One of his great paws fell on his chest and the other against his delicate throat. His claws extended touching the points to his skin. His eyes looked to the daggars for a moment and took them into account and adapeted to them building a sheild of dragon scales around his body. "I think I'll allow a fight," He snarled, "but I already know the outcome. Will you surrender now and save me the trouble?"

Nicole watched as the beast changed again trapping the boy beneath him. "Stop! Leave him alone!" she shouted at the beast she knew it would be simple for him to kill the boy then and there. "Leave him be, he doesn't know anything! He isn't worth your time!" she hopped the boy understood she was giving him a chance to escape if someone was going to die here she didn't want anyone else to be dragged down with her. Using some of the power she had stored in her necklace she stood up and put it around her neck. "Come beast, I will give you a match." she said picking up her sword with two hands. "Just think about it i'm the one who knows were the people you are looking for went." she finished. It wasn't a lie she had located Caspian and Susan a few seconds ago from their minds, but there was no way was she going to lead the traitors to the king and queen.

Devon looked over at her as the beast had him pinned, he looked at her necklace " What the... " He pushed the beast off of him and grabed his necklace he had around his neck and yelled out his true form " Carter " he yelled at the top of his lungs, his body and hair began to change " now it's a fair fight" Devon looked at her "how about you and me take down these fools and find the queen and king" Devon pointed to Lamont " your mine punk, and you... girl take the hairy kitten he seems a little scared.

"You call this a fair fight?" Lamont laughed as he readied his sword. He lost Susan, and whatever child she carried. He would not let himself lose to someone he knew was weaker than him. Yes, his power was diffrent, similar to elven magic though much limited, but this boy learned only to kill as swiflty as possible and to hid in the sahadows cunningly until then. But he was not enduring, not like any of his kind. "The scales are still tiped in my favor. A fight against you is like a fight against a child. Why should I bother?"
