She hated when he was angry, but her own rage toward Susan lead her to want to argue. "If her mind and body are out of place then could it have been a lie when she said she loved you. Her body will give her impulsive desires and her mind will know what to say to satisfy them, no matter what the workings of the heart may be. The same argument can stand against her spells: Why shouldn't she use some form of dark magic to have you love her if only you are to stand there, staring at her awestruck and smiling like a dumb sheep, while she slowly tears into your heart and you do nothing. There is no reason for her to stop if you are going to deny what is happening around you.

That was enough for Caspian. He ran over to her bedside. "No!" he shouted angerly in her ear. "She tells me truth! My wife is not a whore! And she doesn't use magic on me! They have no magic in England. She couldn't use magic. And she is in my heart because I want her there." he yelled. "And I am not a dumb sheep!" The King may not have hit her, but she had brought this too far. His hand went for the glass of cold water, his fingers closing tightly around it. He held it over her head and turned it bottom side up, spilling the chilly contents over her.
(ooc: thought I'd add in a bit o' humor.)

She shivered for a moment as she whispered as spell that could free her from the cold of the water. Instantly the cold vanished, though the water remained, and she fell limp again as the magic drained her of her energy. If she had been trained like the other elves had she would not have been weakened so easily by such a small spell. But there was nothing to be done about it now. Magic may exist in England, only undiscovered because practicing magic there would end in death or some cruel punishment. Kind things are not brought to witches, but they are brought to the stakes to burn. But whether you want her there or not she will ensure she remains there and you will be captive until you are free enough to realize you don't want her there. That is why I am still here."

Caspian growled at her false words and looked for something else to dump on her. He couldn't find anything, so he settled for a pillow and whipped it at her face. Why couldn't he just hit her and get it over with? "Stop it!" he shouted. "Susan is not a witch! She has no magic! And I love her!" he was shaking in anger. What could he say that would make this girl shut her mouth?

"Say and believe as you wish, my lord," She said after the pillow struck. She would not believe he loved another of his own will. Not after all he had done and said to her. Only if he had allowed him to search his mind could she be sure that he was truly of his own right mind. Until then she simply wouldn't believe. "but I know what I know and believe what I believe. All beings have magic, some just more than others. You posses more than me and she may have more within her than both of us. There is no way to know, not yet. But until I do my claims will remain until I am proven wrong.

"Would you please, SHUT YOUR MOUTH!" Caspian roared, throwing another pillow at her head. "Or I'll tell the nurses to give you some extra stitches." he threatend. Half of him told him to go, half of him told him to stay. He didn't know which to do.

"Pain is nothing." She said just as calm as before. She hated to raise her voice to him, the love controling her rage. "I drew your sword against myself. A few stitches will do me no harm. But if it is silence you want from me then you must take my hand."

Caspian grumbled and snatched her hand. He squeezed it so hard that her fingers would probably be hurting soon. "Happy?" he questioned almost challengingly.

"I am," She said happily as she felt his energy connect with hers. With a single word of the elven language she could feel his own energy becoming hers, though she was careful to stop the magic's flow before he fainted or died. "Sja unin du hugin," She said and instantly her own mind was blasted with hundreds of images. She searched through them, seeing her own younger self as she cared for the baby. She saw as he cried at his father's funeral and, again, moved on. She saw as he was chased from the castle by the uncle that had arranged his father's death and how he fought alongside Susan and the others to regain his throne. It was only after she left, with one first and final kiss, did she begin to pay more attention to these images. She could see as he looked to her, confused at first until she introduced herself and he gave her a place to stay. She watched as the nightmares of the killing curse she had used in the room Caspian now called his own drove her to flee outside to where Caspian stood watching the stars as his professor taught him to. She smiled as she saw him comfort her and wrap his arms around her, kissing her head. Her smile broadened as she saw countless times of their meeting on the towers by light of the moon as he held her and they would kiss. She saw as he trained her to use a sword and she trained him in the ways of archery. She watched as they dualed, practicing what he had taught her, and he knocked her weapon aside with the speed, skill, and grace of a master swordsman. Without her weapon she would have died in battle, but on the training fields she ran at him, as if it would do any good, and he caught her by the arm and kissed her. She was still in his arms for a long while afterward. And at last she felt triumph as she saw him holding her on a moutaintop with only the moon watching, as she cried saying only that she did not want to leave. He lifted her chin, forcing her to look into her eyes as he made his promise to wait for her and to sing when she returns and to come when she calls. Only then did she stop the magic, for there was no need to see more. "Your mind has been altered," She said, "You see it now.

Caspian pulled away from her, kicking the bottom of the bed from his fast movement. All that while, he hadn't seen anything. The world had been black, as if she had locked him up in a cage while she searched his mind. He hadn't seen anything at all. Only felt the pain and awkwardness of having another being in his mind besides his own. "I told you not to do that!" he hissed, finally bringing his strong hand down across her face. Caspian's legs felt weak, and he toppled over onto the other bed after he hit her. "Damn you." he growled. "Now, I don't want to hear another word out of you. That felt strange. I'm going to sleep now. I'll deal with you later." he said warningly. The energy that she had stolen from him left him tired. He rolled over on his side, facing away from her, and closed his eyes. But he made a point to look over his shoulder and speak with a calmness that was oh so dangerous, "Tomorrow, you will leave Narnia."

"No, I won't. I saw your memory and you did love me then. I was right, something is holding you captive to their will."She touched her hand to her face where it stung the most. his ring had torn a small piece of flesh, but not enough to draw blood. "I will not leave until you and your mother are free. Even if you don't want my help I still owe it to her. Even you would not deny her help when it comes and condemn her to a fate at Cotnar's claws."

"You lie, foolish girl." he groaned tiredly. "Your stupid fantasies give you false sights." Then he growled low and deep. "Sights that you weren't given permission to see. Even you should know that the highest form of trespassing is into a person's mind." He rubbed his head against his pillow. "Now would you please, shut up? I am going to save my mother. Help as you please, but know that from this moment forward my friendship is withdrawn."

"I saw truth," She said in her own tongue. it being spoken in elven meant that it either was true or she would die at that moment. She put her hand over her heart for a moment to ensure her heart still beat proving again that she was right. "You are being used by dark magic. Please, Caspian, what I did was wrong, I know without limits, and I will burn in the Firefields for all eternity because of it, but now I know it was nessesary. Something has penetrated your mind and the source must be found. Hate me as you will, for once my duty is done I will die anyway, but I will not let you suffer. Let me help you, please. You need me to help you," She sighed as she knew her words would do little to persuade him to allow her. She did not dare reach inside him again. She could have only one final argument and if it didn't work she would have to find some way to track the enchanter from outside of his mind without her wand. There was not enough time to sing another one. "Susan may need me to help you."

"Oh, Katy. Yes, I hate you. What you did was wrong. Now would you please, just let me sleep?" he groaned, but stopped as he heard Susan's name. "Why would she need you to help me?" he asked, curiously.

"Because your bond with her is so strong that they could have access to her mind through you. You say that her mind and body are not her own, but that could be simply because the one who alters your memory lives within her mind and is controlling her every thought and every movement. Maybe sometimes he would free her, let her do as she pleases, but he would always come back and lead her to Lamont's arms. Through her he would be able to reach Peter and Edmund as well and it could account for their dissapearences as well, but in that I could never know. Magic is more complex than you realize and your weakness to defend yourself from it and your rejection to let me help you could very well be the reason that she still lies in the arms of the demon child, Lamont, and dose not shy away from his touch."
