Caspian shook his head, hopelessly confused. "Of course I would want him dead, sweetheart." Caspian said. "But I don't see what he has to do with Katrina. She took part in your murder. I will not have that kind of person around my wife or children. And this isn't the first time that she's harmed you either. This isn't the first time that she's broken her promise. I fear a third time. What would happen then? What would she do? No. I can't let her live. Aslan said that it was alright, and I will do it." Caspian looked at her, his expression soft. "But I want your support on it. Why do you sob for the demon that has hurt you?" he asked.

"It's the same thing." She told him still not looking at him, "She wants you, he wants me. The only diffrence is that I've had his child already. Maybe he sees you the same way as you see her. If you are more than willing to kill the father then maybe the child is in danger as well. Maybe he only wants his son safe at this point. Lamont may be cruel and maybe insane, but he's human too. He could condem you the same way that you do her and you'd have as much room to escape as she dose. If you have right to live then she has more."

When she looked up again he was gone. Of course he was. He was off to tend to Susan again, as he always did. Everything in his world revolved around her, protecting her, holding her, kissing her, having children with her, making children with her. And through it all she only sat on the sides crying silently as she suffered. At least if I die I won't hurt anymore.

Cotnar growled at the scent of blood. When it was tracked he found it to be of his own son. He roared with momentary grief as the winged centaur came from behind. "It failed father." He said, but he already knew that. If it had gone through then he would see Queen Susan's body still hollow without it's soul. But he didn't so she must have escaped the soul-snacher somehow and killed him in the process. But the queen wasn't powerful enough to get away with that. No, the scent of lions were here too. "What of the elf?" He asked Viafot. "She has returned to the humans in hopes of throwing them off our trail." But Cotnar shook his head, "She knows too much of our people and her heart wanders too far towards Caspian. She may have sided with us this once, but I doubt it will happen again. We will end her before she had the chance to betray us." And with a roar he bounded off to the northeast where the castle lie.

"It's different, Susan." he said to her. "You are rightfully my wife. My family. Lamont has no right to take you from me, and neither does she. Both put you and our children at risk, and I'll kill them both. It is a man's job to protect his family, and that is what I must do." His eyes softened towards her. "Please try to understand..." he pleaded. Caspian heard the roar. On his command, the Castle was quickly locked and secured. The windows were completely covered by thick sheets made of the strongest metal that even a demon couldn't break. The roof was covered in archers in seconds, and soldiers came from every door to defend. To say that the military had improved would be a sour understatement. They were stronger. Better. Equipped. And ready. Ready for anything. Caspian hoped that the beast would at least try and eavsdrop on their conversation first. If they fought for a common cause, even once, it would make things a whole lot easier for both sides. But still, he stormed down to the dungeons, taking Susan gently with him, to consult with Katrina. "What is all this about?" he grumbled. "Did you lead him here? What have you done now?"

Susan wanted to argue, but at the sound of the roar she did not try. Cotnar would do anything to have her dead. She started to go to their room, but he led her to the dungeons. Surely he didn't want her to watch him interrogate her?

She heard the growl, but only faintly, and When Caspian came she knew already that nothing she would say would save her. "Believe what you want," She told him, "But it won't change your mind."

"You didn't answer me." he growled. "Did you lead him here? What have you done now? What is all this about?" Caspian repeated, and then demanded, "Answer me. Now." It would definitely be like Katrina to lead the demon here, or at least in Caspian's mind it would be. In his mind, she was a demon. She had killed his wife! That was enough to be considered demonic in his book. But he still wanted answers. A truthful demon was better than a lying one. But then again, Katrina didn't tell truths. She had already lied to him. Three times.

He was right to be angry, after what she had done she should be as well. But she couldn't be mad, not for very long, not after Swordtail. From where she leaned against the wall she went to him and gripped his arm as if holding him back from a fight. "Leave her alone, I'm sure she had nothing to do with it."

"I didn't bring him," She told him sinking against a wall, "I could tell you forever that I had nothing to do with this, but you still wouldn't believe me."

Caspian watched her against the wall. "You're lucky I'm even giving you a trial." he said. If he had wanted, he could have ordered for her death on the spot. "Don't pout. I believe you because Susan believes you. But it doesn't matter anyway. Tomorrow evening at sun down, you will be dead."
