Caspian's eyes went wide. He wished that Susan was here to see this. Here came the lovely black filly, his sister, prancing up to him. "Thank you!" he exclaimed, and kissed the muzzle of the little dark creature. She had no teeth, and sucked on his fingers. Caspian had been eating toast and jam before he had come here. He laughed. "We'll need to name you, Sister." he told her, kissing the top of her head and scratching behind her ears. Her eyes were beautiful. She looked nothing like Cotnar, and this was a good sign.

"Her father gave her one already, one not even I like, a cruel name that means nothing of herself." She stroked the girl's mane as she reared in excitement, her hoves barely missing Caspian. She threw back her head a few times and whinnied simply because there was no demanding father to punish her for it. "Agrona he calls her. It is a name he stole when he visited Susan's homeworld, though it was slightly west of her home. It means battle and slaughter. I thought we should find a new name as well, one that suits her well."

"That's a disgusting name for such a pretty filly." Caspian said. He wanted to wait until he saw Susan next, whenever that would be, to name her. Susan always had good names. It was still several days till the new moon, when he would go by nightfall to their secret tree and meet her there. He missed his wife. Caspian stroked the unicorn's neck thoughtfully, lost in his mind for a few moments.

Susan came, wandering through the forest wanting only to be separated from the monster that was her husband. For hours she would not be able to look the boy in the face for what he did. In her arms she held her son who had taken many hours to calm enough to feed. Though it was a challenge unlike any she had faced in her few short weeks as a mother, she managed to make him sleep long enough for her to escape Lamon't grasp with him. she shifted him in her arms and looked at his face smiling at the sight of it and frowning at his wound to his arm. Lamont's tyranny had caused him this pain and somehow she would make it regret it. How she longed for her freedom. She stopped at the sound of a horse's cry and instinctively hid believing it could have been Cotnar's many forms. But when she saw it was Caspian's half-sister with him beside her she broke from her hiding and ran to him. His Cuddle-bug clung to his chest so he could hold her and the child would not be hurt. The full moon was still many nights away, but she didn't care"I've missed you, so much." She cried to him, "Living with him has only made me hate him more. I don't want to, I want to love, I want you."

"I know," She was about to say more when Susan came, stealing him from her once more. She would be left aside, having no meaning for a while as he absorbed himself in her, she could see it coming. She sat on a rock beside the river's edge reviewing spells in her mind trying to remember the one that could be most useful in a battle. She would have little, or nothing to do with her. She had her protection, not her acceptance.

Caspian embraced her and their son. "I've missed you to." he told her, not willing to let her go. "How did you escape this time?" he asked. But it didn't really matter. All that mattered was that she was with him again, and she was free. "Are you ready to come home yet?" Caspian asked her. But when the filly nudged Susan to, he stroked its head on told his wife, "This is my little sister. We were just thinking of a name for her." There was so much that Caspian wanted to tell her. How much he had missed her was at the top of his list. And he missed his son, too. Susan had taken Galen with her to Lamont, and Caspian was left without them both. "He hasn't been hurting you again has he?" he asked, remembering the mace attack that she had suffered the last time she tried to escape.

Ran away . . . again. if he was going to get what he wanted he had to prove to the master that he could actualy rule Narnia when the time came. This small task of controling his wafe was only a way of proving what he could do. But with every time she fled to Caspian it made his chances grow smaller and smaller. Now he walked along the river, hunting her like a dog hunts a racoon. He looked up only to see Susan, Caspian, the wind witch, and some other girl he didn't know as well as Galen. He would have drawn his sword if he hadn't reacted so quickly that there was no time to grasp it. He grabbed her arm tightly, seperateing them as he often did when they were together, and wrenched the child from her arm. "Miserable witch," He mumbeld as he threw her to the ground. "Don't you ever leave me again! Aslan help you if you do it again. And you!" He gripped Agrona's small pointed horn and used it like a handle as he picked up the unicorn high enough that her front hooves did not touch the ground. She screamed at the pain that seared through her precious horn, but he didn't care. "You go back to the master. You already know what happened to your brother for trying to escape, do you want to join him?"

Caspian was not weak today. He pulled his sister loose from his grip along with Galen, whom he handed to Susan quickly. Lamont was stupid this time. He really was. Did he think that he could actually win, with Susan, Caspian, Lennia, and Katrina against him? The King threw the wand back to Katy, and drew his sword, pointing it at Lamont's chest. He didn't press sharply, but slowly backed him up against a tree. The same tree that he had just been banging his head on from shock of finding his father's true murderer. "DON'T you dare touch my family." he hissed, taking Lamont's sword from his belt and handing it to Len. He searched the boy for any other weapons, and found only a dagger. Caspian's dagger. He didn't quite know what to do with this weapon, but slid it along the ground carefully to Susan with his boot. She was its true owner now. He had given it to her to protect herself at the Dark Ilse, and now he was giving it to her again. "Stupid boy, you really are." Caspian laughed almost evily. "And what's worse, on your part, you can't die! So we can practically weaken you all we want, and all you'll feel is pain." Caspian glared at his cousin.

Susan's skin instantly went cold as he pulled her away. She screamed for her true lover as her child was torn away, never wanting to see the boy in Lamont's arms. "Leave him alone!" She cried and took Caspian's dagger. The hilt of it, though it had been warm when it was first given her her, was cold as ice against her fingers. She gripped it tightly enough that the engraving of Aslan pressed itself into her skin. She stood and held the blade away from her ready to fight, but knew there was little she could do with the crying babe in her arms. "You will never hurt my son again." She tightened her grip around the boy, not intending to hurt him but to give comfort that she was there and that she would somehow protect him. Alone she knew it could not be done. With Caspian the odds were not much more favorable being that the demon spawn had learned his every method of attack. But with Lennia and this other girl that held a tree limb much like the wizzards of childhood stories, they may have a chance. She took a step back to let the others fight this battle while she tended to the filly and Galen.

Katrina took her wand more than happy to have it back. The demon boy had come, the son of her enemy that had forced her to slay one of her closest friends. Even if she had not promised to use the killing spell, regardlessof how much she wanted him dead, she wouldn't have used it. She would use some other painful soell that could drag on for hours of agony. He deserved as much for all he's done. The wand was in her hand again, it's warm wood almost like lightning, sending energy through her body. She may be a weak wand-wielder, but she could still be one. Caspian needed her to be.

Len smiled at Susan. "Are you alright. How is Gslen?" She asked wondering what happened. Here smile faded as the boy came towards them. She stepped forward ready herself for the fight. "This time you will not receive anything you care to have. You'll be lucky to leave without much pain" She sneered.

"I'm not worried of what you can do to me," He laughed, "What you say or do means nothing. None of you can kill me, none of you are strong enough for that. Only Aslan can kill me, and being that he's abandoned you for the time being you are helpless. Go on, try all you want, you will not win." He took from a hidden place in his coat a bridle that looked to be made more of gold than leather. The unicorn's eyes met with it and she shuddered but stepped forward and allowed her to slip it over her head. With it around her she was still, she did not paw the ground, did not toss her head, did not rear to defend herself, and did not cry for her older brother's help. "There's a good girl," He muttered stroking one of the few places where her fur was white, between her nose. With his sister recaptured he looked back to Susan tightening the many straps to ensure Caspian did not try to free her from her bonds while his back was turned. "Now, my dear Susan, I'll have my son back now."

"You'll never have him!" She shouted at him but her eyes were for Caspian's sister. She did not try to flee the man who hurt her, justifying himself claiming that it made her strong. With this golden harness she looked as though she wanted to return. Something was horribly wrong with her. She took another step back not wanting him to come closer. "What have you done to her?" She asked, "Let her go, she's done nothing wrong. Let her go now."

The sword in Caspian's hand plunged into his cousin's chest, rested there for a moment, and then the King thrust it back out again. "Let her go." he demanded. The man was curious. Just because his sister was in a halter, did he really think that he could win against all of them? She looked as if she was in a trance, but nothing more. She needed a name. A secret name. Maybe that's what they could call her. Secret. Caspian held the sword to his cousin's throat. "How's your poisoned wound doing?" he asked. The tip of his sword pushed away the collar of Lamont's shirt, and there was the dark puncture wound where the statue of Aslan had bitten him. Uncurable. It was darker than before, and looked swollen. Caspian knew that the silver would effect Lamont's whole body, whether he chose to believe it or not. "You are foolish." said the King, bringing the blade into his cousin's throat and back out again.

"Better than you'd believe." He laughed at a question he knew was not meant to be answered. The blade cut his throat, the silver spilled over his body as Aslan's curse hurt him and caused his blood to burn. He muttered a few words in magic that could not be heard and the mark from the knife disappeared. "Dark magic is stronger than Aslan's magic." He said standing, "It is not meant to be crossed. Holy healing power of Alsan should not be mixed with demon blood. Twice it has happened; twice proposies have been formed around them. And they will be fulfilled, one way or another. No matter how foolish I must be to gain this."
