Memories alone

[King Caspian X]

Caspian was glad that he had placed her second to Lennia then. Len's magic didn't hurt people that much. Not more than their original pain. But still, magic healing was magic healing. The King still held her wand in his fingers and waited. "And there will not be a battle between you and my wife. Understand that." he said. "Now do you want your wand back or not?" Caspian wanted something that he could physically hold onto that would enssure that she would leave Susan alone. Not just her word.

Katrina laughed at his request. "I have nothing to give, I left it all with you as you promised to come and bring me back to it if I called for you. Everything I could ever want is with you already. All I can give you is my word as the only Wand-wielder in existance. I can only hope you can accept and understand that I would never do anything to hurt you."

[King Caspian X]

"Stop it." he said. "You and I were never together. And I have none of your belongings. I've been in all of my hiding places recently, searching for useful things to use for the war, or just to breathe for a moment. Nothing of yours is there." Caspian told her. "And it's not me that I worry that you might hurt. It's my wife. I've seen you angry before, and the fact that you're angry with her does not bring me peace at all." Caspian still waited. He was beginning to wonder if she ever did want her wand back.

"It's a disgrace to have to make a second wand." She said standing, "I know I reacted badly earlier, but if you don't trust me enough to give it back then I'll have to. I wish things could have gone much better between us. If you don't want my help then I'll practice my talent elsewere."

[Lennia Silverwind]

Len walked along the river enjoying the calm atmosphere. She looked ahead to see Caspian talking with someone. She walked up to them, nodding her head to Caspian before looking the other over. She was an elf? Len smiled. "Hi there" She said then looked down to see what Caspian was holding. "Is that a wand?" She asked

"I don't trust you at all! I used to, but you have to be on good terms with my wife before I can trust you again. This is redicules."

Then Caspian saw Len walking towards them. Praise Aslan. "Len, please help me." Caspian said, walking over to her. "This girl thinks that I was once her lover. I told her that I was never anyone's lover but Susan's, and yet she tells me that I gave her some golden arm band and that we were to be married. She thinks that Susan cursed me, that she some how made me forget her. She used to watch me when my parents were away, so she was pretty much my babysitter. I did welcome her as a friend to the Castle, but nothing more. Yet she insists that we were once in love. You know the truth, will you please tell her that Susan is the only one I love?" Caspian looked down at the wooden magical wand. "And yes, this is her wand. I took it from her."

Len stepped back after being bombarded with everything that must of happened between the two. "You do love Susan that much is for sure, and it would be kind of weird to love your babysitter" She said to Caspian. "Who are you?" She said turning to the girl.

[katrina]

"He won't give it back unless I give him something I don't have because I gave him everything I had of value. Elves don't have to many posessions to begin with. The only other thing he will accept Is if I . . ." She stopped, by telling this new witch she could be pressed for answers. "tell him something." She quickly decided to change the subject. "How can you even be a witch. My master told me that there can only be two wand-wielders, master and apprentice. My master is still alive I think, but he won't live much longer if he is."

"She couldn't have given me all of her belongings because we were never in a relationship." Caspian pronounced his words clearly, trying to get Katy to believe the truth. Caspian had never dated her or sang to her by moonlight. "And I've been in all of my hiding places since I've last seen her. Nothing of hers is there nor was ever there." Caspian said. "And she doesn't just have to tell me 'something'. She has to tell me who she's killed with this wand, but she won't. She says that she'd rather sing another one for years from a tree. She killed someone, but she just can't tell me who." the King made a face as if it was the most redicules thing he'd ever heard. "So, I asked for something that I could hold onto that would prevent her from bringing any harm to Susan, because she's made it quite clear that she's upset with her. But she claims that she can't give me anything because I have everything she ever owned. But I don't have anything. And I don't remember ever dating her or any of the things that she claims. And I know that I would have never done any of those things, especially so soon after Susan left for England. I remember killing the pumpkins and carving Susan and my name into the tree with the heart -you've seen the carving. I don't remember dating her, because I never did, but still she persists." Caspian said. He was out of breath. He felt bad for bringing Len into this, but she was his only hope of escaping this crazy girl who seemed to be in love with him.

Len looked over to Caspian then back to the Elf. "I am not a wand-wielder. I am a decedent of a wind demon and don't need a wand to wield magic. As for your wand I am sure if you side with us and don't touch Susan or even speak with her you could have your wand back" She stated eying Caspian. "If it makes you feel better I could keep an eye on her. Whatever she thinks can be fixed later"

"I don't need a caretaker." She said letting the concept of being watched annoy her. "I can manage on my own. Why don't you just stop trying to protect yourself from me? You already know I'm in love with you. Because or that alone I would never, ever, do anything to hurt you. Even if it means allowing Susan to erase me from your memories."

[King Caspian X]

Caspian growled at her now. "Because I don't need to protect myself from you. I need to protect Susan from you." he snapped. "And you you please, get-it-through-your-head, you and I have never been together. I have never loved you." this whole situation was starting to annoy him very deeply. "Susan hasn't done anything to 'erase my memories' or any of this shit that you continue to wrongly accuse her of. You don't understand, do you? You and I have no memories. You were simply my friend, and I'd like to be your friend again if you'd just leave Susan alone. You have no idea how incredibly awkward it is to be walking down the river, minding your own business, and have your past babysitter and friend that you haven't seen in ages come wandering up to you and declaring how deeply in love with you they are, accusing your spouse of all these wrong doings that you know that they didn't or would never do. And on top of that, they won't stop claiming that you have everything that they've ever owned, when you know that you don't! Has it ever happened to you? Well, it just happened to me, and I'll tell you something, it's quite creepy and disturbing, and quite frankly, it can make a person quite angry." Caspian said. This, he decided, was the most awkward day of his life. He took a deep breath to calm himself down, though it didn't work, and he leaned over to Len. "Yes please." he whispered in her ear so that Katy wouldn't hear. Caspian still held her wand in his hands. "And what shall I do with this?" he asked the elf. "You can answer my question or give me something that proves that you won't do any harm to Susan with it. But until then, I won't be giving it back."

"If I tell you then you must promise me in return that I will not be judged by it. I never wanted to do it, hated the spell from the moment it was taught to me. Don't, please don't, hold it against me. You can't understand what it's like being the last of your race. I was blamed for your mother being kidnaped by the demons. I tried to save her and I failed. But I was seen with her by a boy, a boy I had saved from death the night before, and he spread rumors that I stole her, probably even killed her. I was to die that night. I went to anyone that would help me. Now make me the promise that you'll not punish me for the crime. My shame is enough that it almost killed me."

Len nodded her understanding. She listened intently to what the elf said. "I will have to agree with her there, yet if it makes you feel better Caspian, I can have her swear through magic" She said not taking her gaze from the Elf. If she truly used magic then she would know that a swear between two magic users is one that binds the person forever and if broken the penalty is death. The others magic will destroy the one who broke the oath.

"My mother went of her own free will." Caspian informed her. "She herself is a demon. We've seen her." Then he listend to what Len said. "Sure, let's do that." he agreed. "Why do you think that I would judge you?" he asked, not quite promising yet.
