"I think," She held his hand to her face. She was not willing to concentrate on their riddles to eachother. The joy of her heart was full to bursting simply by being. She did not want that to change. For now she just wanted to feel his hands over her body, filling her mind with pleasant thoughts. Nothing could be greater than this.

He kissed her softly on her cheek. "You must understand." he said eagerly. "No snow will come this winter." it was just another riddle. Of course snow would come this winter, but the symbolism, he hoped, would remind her of a similar and popular phrase. When he shakes his mane, winter is at an end. Caspian smiled at her again, willing her to understand what he was trying to say. Aslan was back.

Aslan . . . The voice growled. He was an enemy to Aslan and the thought of him coming back enraged him. She pulled Caspian down int a tight hug around his neck. "He's here?" She whispered in his ear almost crying, "He's realy here?"

"Shhhhh..." he said quietly, placing a hand over her lips gently. "And yes. I bought you a dog, and he is here at the castle." he tried to cover up her words from Lamont and Cotnar, though he knew that they didn't hear them. They were so quiet, Caspian could only hear them by watching her lips move. Had he blinked, he would not have heard anything. But he had told her his answer. Yes, Aslan was really hear. Finally, she understood.

"Take me to him," Her voice almost raised, but she forced it back to silence. "I have to see . . . There's so many things I need to say." She caught her mistake and thought in terms of a dog, "Is he big and mean? Galen wouldn't have liked a mean dog but it would drive of . . ." She stoped not wanting Lamont to spring and seperate them, "enemies."

"Sorry," Caspian forced a laugh, trying to make this look as real as possible. "I got you a little dog. It's mouth is probably too small to have bitten the baby." He made a length in the air to show the size of the "dog" he had gotten, not much bigger than a shoe. The dog he described would have been considered a chihuahua back in her homeland. Here in Narnia, it was ironically nicknamed a Jumbo Dog. "I can't take you to him right now." Caspian said, lifting his wrist but really motioning almost invisibly towards Lamont and Cotnar.

"Enough!" He pulled Susan from him and carried her, "No more of this. We're leaving." He mounted Cotnar and waited for him to leave. "I'll have my wedding night whether you want it or not. And no more stalling or excuses."

Cotnar growled to Firemane, intending for her to follow even if it meant forcing the filly to struggle behind her. He knew she would do as he said, so long as he was within view. He spread dragon wings, matching in color to the dragon's violet head, and took to the skys heading northward toward the moutians. He'd stay there for a while before striking again.

Len shook her head. "It is no big deal. This means I can pester you about your past" She said with a sly smile. She looked around. "Lets go somewhere else with the child. It is not safe here" She said as her fog started to lift.

Caspian struggled to hold on to her, but she was torn from his grasp. "'Till next time." he shouted up to the sky where she flew from him. He still would not say good-bye to her. Good-bye was forever. They would see each other again, soon. The King began to walk back to the castle, his head hanging low. He found the horses hiding in the bushes. They had not abandoned him. Caspian climbed aboard one, the one that Susan had rode, and the other trotted alone behind him. His eyes watched her go off into the night. "I love you." he said aloud, though he knew that she could not hear him now.

"It's safe." he assured her. But still, Damian rose from his resting place. He stood, "Alright." he said, quietly so as not to wake Galen. "What do you wish to pester me about?" asked the Fire Spirit. He wouldn't really be pestered. He didn't mind answering a few questions. "But tell me where you want to go, first."

Len looked around. "The middle of the forest is one of the safest spots here" She said. "I want to know how you came to be here, why not stay with your people?" She asked.

Damian nodded and grabbed her hand and held on to Galen. In an instant, all three of them were smoke, almost as clear as the night. He flew towards the center of the forest and stopped, materializing all three of them. True, he hadn't really asked for Lennia's permision, but it sure did beat walking. The Fire-Spirit looked down to Galen. Thankfully, he was still asleep. "I came here to be a part of the military." he answered her question. "I didn't stay with my people simply because they haven't really decided to become part of the war yet. They are observing right now. If they do join, it will be with Narnia and Telmar. But I've made my decision already, I don't see a reason to wait. So I acted early." Damian finished his little story about his people. "What else do you want to know?"

Len felt free as Damian turned the there into smoke. It was strange but really cool at the same time. She wasn't about to complain. "No that was all. I think you made the right decision otherwise who knows where Galen would be by now" She said smiling down at the child.

"Probably with the Queen." Damian said sadly. "How long do you think they'll keep her away from her own baby?" asked the man, looking down at Galen, frowning in pitty for him. Only hours old, and already separated from his mother. But he couldn't help but smile at the little Prince. "He is kinda cute." Damian said. "Do you wanna hold him?"
