The beast stepped forward, not as Aslan, but as the lion-pawed centaur that presented the sword to Lamont on the mountain peaks. He growled for Peter to stand but instantly released the boy from the magic's harsh grip.
"I said I would take care of some of the others. If Susan if followed then you will not be alone. Now, young Syria, you will see your purpose here." His body changed quickly, needing no reason for show, into a great tiger and leapt at the girl knowing she would flee. She had never seen him and did not know his power for what it was. Out of fear, the driving force for humans, she would run from his claws and fangs.
And she would see to it that she ran into Caspian and Lennia's path

Caspian took a few fast steps after her, but it was no use. She was off the ship and in the trees before he could blink. The King sadly bowed his head and prayed for her, a safe journey with Peter to the North East. "Let's go." he said solemnly, his eyes never once leaving the place where he had watched Susan disappear into the forest.

Len couldn't answer. She was enraged. Left behind again. She was rooted to the spot as Susan ran off. She let the wing blow stronger bast Susan to get some information. She herd nothing of importance but her other side knew better. "Split up and was we meet them where..." Her voice trailed off as she herd the sound of someone coming. She formed the fire sword in her hands knowing it wasn't someone she knew.

Syria closed her mouth as she saw Peter. She gave a frightened glance at Lamont and kept her mouth shut. She took a step back as a centaur came forward. Her eyes grew wide as it changed into a tiger and leaped at her. She had no choice but to flee. She ran, her eyes widen in fear. What did he meant? Why did Lamont bring me here? she thought, tripping and almost falling. What I won't give to be in England right now, away from all of this.
She made it to the shore and almost fell against a young girl. She stopped dead in her tracks, seeing the flaming sword in her hands. "Please, you have to help me," she begged in her English accent. Syria turned and pointed further into the woods. "L-lamont is there as well as...a centaur? Well, something that can turn into one anyways."

Peter blinked a few times before looking from Lamont, to the centaur and back again. His temper(which was always just about boiling point these days thanks to Caspian) was growing again. He then grinned evily as his eyes sparkled. Peter doubled his hands into fists and took a swing at Lamont.

Lamont laughed as he ducked to avoid Peter's fists as he drew his perfect sword. He knew it would come to this eventualy. The two kings would fight for their power, but Lamont would be the victor by far. The blade was heavy, but not so much that he couldn't hold it. He slashed at Peter knowing it would miss and stepped back.
"For the sake of your love for Lyric go and aid my master. He will be fighting with your Prince Caspian soon enough. And leave me and Susan to the battle we must fight."

Susan followed what little tracks she could find of her brother. Even in her years as queen she had never been too much of a hunter. But then she came to a clearing where Lamont stood sword drawn and facing her brother. She pulled out one of her arrows and strung it ready to fire when Lamont was far enough away from Peter that she knew she wouldn't hit her brother. As she waited she took note of the wind's strength that could knock her arrows off course and cause her to miss. As far as she knew Lamont haddn't even realized she was there, or even coming. He was too focused on Peter.

The tiger chased after the girl, keeping close enough to her to let her feel his warm breath, but far enough away that he did not claw her legs before she reached the others. She fell against the wind witch and the great cat slowed to a pace were he walked from the forest's edge with his body lowered into a hunting crouch ready to spring.
"are you ready to die here," He hissed to all of them as his ears turned backwards and his hair stood on edge. "I am willing to spare you of your pathetic existence."

Caspian looked down at the girl that had come flying out of the forest. Before she was even finished speaking he knew what the problem was. "Thanks." he said to her, and went bolting off into the trees where her trail was still visable. The King had his sword drawn and ready, and quietly tip-toed farther and farther into the enemy's land. He may have turned around once to make sure Len was with him, but besides that his eyes were straight ahead and focused. If he could kill his cousin now, things would be a lot easier.

Syria looked horrified at his approached. "H-he didn't....say anything about dying," she stammered, knowing full well that Lamont would rather have fun seeing her in fear. Her eyes grew wide as she inched away. Was he really going to kill her? the mere thought of it made her shuddered, her wide, terrified eyes on him. I don't want to die! she yelled in her mind. She shivered and closed her eyes, suddenly seeing her parents. No..she thought. They were dead. They died during the war. They're not here. Her parents seemed more real.....more...there. Tears dripped down her face as she slowly opened her eyes. She shot the tiger a glare and recoiled a bit.

Peter growled as he dodged the punch. He wandered whether or not to punch him again, but thought the better of it. He whipped out his own sword and wanted to slash it, when the threat(and the order) brought him to his senses(or what was his senses when he was around Lamont and Cotnar.) He had two decisions to make: go see Caspian and possibly fight against him or see Lyric die. The thought made him stop dead. Fear filled his eyes for a moment as they grew wide. He took a deep breath and shuddered, turning around and ran back down to the shore. He skidded to a halt behind Len, hesitating.

Susan saw her brother leave without much more of a fight. Whether he was controled or not she did not know, but he was gone. The boy was too far away for her to reach her before her arrows would have sunk into his heart. But for the first time, though she didn't know why, she thought there may be more to him than the blood-thirsty dictator he wanted to be. Maybe there was something behind it that could be brought out and he could stop being so evil and cruel. No . . . now was not the time for sympathy. What she shouldv'e done was releiced her arrow and let him die here, but she couldn't. She hated to kill, even in battle. Instead she tightened her grip and steadied her arms, keeping them from trembleing from the tention in the bow, and spoke.
"You can't run from me this time, demon." She told him, "Where is my sister?"

Lamont's smile broadened as the boy fled. He obeyed his master so easily, like a puppy already fully trained. But even if he didn't follow orders it wouldn't matter. He would always step in and control his mind if mentioning Lyric didn't persuade him. Humans were weak this way and it almost ashamed Lamont to be one of them.
But now the end results of his plan were starting to take effect. He only had to find a way to ensure that things remained exactly as they were for at least a few more moments. "Block anyone who tries to come near." Lamont ordered his servant. the girl was hesitating, and for him that was a good sign.
"Why would I think to run." He said slowly stepping towards her watching the muscles in her arms intently "You believe I am some coward that will flee from any battle. You can't even kill me now. I have very little armor, I am alone and without my master's protection, and all I have is but a sword you believe I am not strong enough to wield." He stopped, now near enough to touch her if he wanted, and waited. "But you are not strong enough to kill me. You are weak, like your lover."

The tiger gave one final growl before bounding soundlessly after Caspian. He had enjoyed seeing the girl's fear, just as he had with Lucy before Lamont had him turned lose for the sake of his plan. The boy was fast and already had his sword drawn. It didn;t matter, he didn't know he was being followed by a feline several times faster than he was. When he was close enough he leaped high so his wide paws both crashed into the backs of his shoulder blades. All seven hundred forty pounds of cat plowed into him as the boy was pinned. The lion's ears could hear Lamont's taunting voice from where he was. The human might not have been able to hear his words as clearly, but he would hear what he needed to hear.
"No interference." He growled in his ear, "You may not see this, I hit you to far away, but you will listen."

Caspian grasped his sword as he fell, never letting go. "I don't think so." The King said defiantly, and jabbed the great beast in the stomach with his blade. From his position, Caspian didn't have a good enough angle to put force into his defense. Although the cut would go deep, it wasn't deep enough to cause any permanent damage, nor stop the shape-shifter from attacking him again. But the man scrambled to his feet, gazing at the blood on his sword. It was already dark, almost black. "If you want to speak with me, you'll have to do so from a distance." Caspian stared into its eyes, his own unwavering. He would stare him down and attack, but he was actually somewhat curious to what the beast would have to say to him.
