Peter looked at Caspian frantically. "Her..." his voice held a thing croak. He cleared his throat and continued. "Lyric's.....life is on the line Caspian. I....have to." he avoided their gaze and glanced at the ground, pain and hurt filled his eyes. He paused for a moment, thinking an idea through. "We can all go together if thats the case." he looked at Caspian with a more even look. "You don't know what kind of delima I'm in here. Its either get Susan, and possibly yourself hurt, or getting Lyric hurt. Either way I get someone hurt...and its my fault," he dropped his hand and slid to his knees. What could he do to get everyone out safetly. He raised his head. "I may hate you at times Caspian," he admited with a shameful look. "But even I won't want to see you hurt and my sister miserable because of that," thinking something through, Peter slowly stood.

Syria flinched at his tone. "But I don't see why I have to help," she protested. "You have Peter. Surely he's enough," she decided to keep her mouth shut to save her. Syria had a hard time controling her temper. She gave him a sideways glance, already knowing what he wants, but she won't give him the satisfaction of having power over her. Syria then sighed as she planted herself at his feet. She turned her head to glare at him. "Happy now?" she demanded.

Len was up early as she helped the men settle the ship and call back her wind. Her eyes were fixed on the land. Here is where nightmares come alive. It could work to her advantage. She slowly walked up to the others. "I don't care who goes with who just as long as Peter stays within my line of sight. I have an idea encase he becomes possessed. Either way no one is safe. It is as if the island is against us" She said without taking her eyes off the island.

"You'll see why soon enough," Lamont told her as he listened to Peter's thoughts and words. He had thought Peter wouldn't be able to go through his mission without at least telling them about Lyric. As far as he knew Peter was the only one who knew about her treachery. But the witch was right for the first time he could remember: The island brings nightmares to life. That was why the falcon had appeared so real to the queen earlier, but why it disappeared he couldn't say just yet. "Or maybe you will be needed very soon"

Susan listened to her brother understanding completly now. Lyric was here, the only person she had seen her brother come close to in a long time. This was never about Lucy at all. Part of her wanted to scream, to tell him he was wrong and that he should be ashamed of himself. But another part of her told her not to judge him, if it were Caspian she probably would have done the same.
"If he wants Caspian alone then there's proably a trap waiting for him. I'll go with Peter, like he said, and Len will go with Caspian. Someone has to protect him and at least this way we're in pairs." She stopped and looked towards Caspian, imagining for the first ime what he might look like in chains. "Dose this seem alright?"

Peter looked at Susan greatfully. His hand was on her wrist again, this time it was gentle. He then met her gaze. "This is about Lucy to Susan," he spoke to her softly, it seemed he had read what was going on in her mind as well as her eyes. "I want to find them both and bring them back. Believe me, Lucy had never disappeared from my thoughts." he looked at Caspian. "I'll try my best to protect her the way I can,"

Syria flinched again. "Just what are you going to do with me?" she asked, not for the first time. She turned her body so she was looking at him. She really hated being in this positon, siting by his feet. She wished he would give her a straight answer instead of jumping all over the place. "And why can't you jump straight to the answer?" she whined.

"No." said Caspian. If Peter is controlled by Lamont again, then you're in trouble, Su. I'm sorry you guys, but I can't leave you two alone. Len can stop Peter if he gets posessed. We should all walk away from the trap. If you insist on going in pairs, I'm going with Susan. End of story." The King said. He didn't want to sound bossy or rude, but it was how he felt and the only way he would go onto the island. He would always be there to protect Susan, never did he want to be taken away from her.

Susan stopped her arguing. He was right and they all knew it. Magic is best fought with magic, even if they don't know the source or the couse. An arrow or a sword will do nothing to stop a raging fire. But still, to deny Peter the one he loved seemed like far to much of a punishment to protect her. Caspian, she figured, could handle himself alone. She had seen Lamont's fighting before and knew he was no better than the child that he was. In honesty, if she was close enough to pierce his armor, even she could defete him.
"Fine," she submitted only because it was Caspian who gave the order. If it was Peter she would have fought him for what would seem like hours on end. "I'll follow you. But not south, we go northwest like he said."

Len stopped in her tracks. She heard something inside her head. It was her other side screaming in joy. This was the type of place for her. She shivered. "No" She stated plainly. "We stay as one. They want us separated then we will only be half as strong. I don't care what the enemy says" She stated that way she could keep an eye on Peter and everyone will be somewhat happy.

Caspian nodded. "It's decided then." He rocked back and forth on his heels as they neared closer and closer to the shore. "Where do you suppose that little devil is now?" the man grumbled under his breath. His cousin just seemed to turn up everywhere. Caspian shivered, and then realized that he was still in his pajamas. "I'll be back in a bit. Don't leave without me." he said to them, and then walked back to the cabin to change.

Susan followed after him looking down at herself. Her fear of the bird had made her forget most of her leather armor. What she had would not stand a chance against any weapon. She changed in a room not far from Caspian finishing just before he did. She waited beside his door with her arms over her chest. What she was going to do was wrong, she would admit it, but what needed to be said needed to be said before things got any worse.

"Because if you knew exactly what was going to happen it would ruin the surprise. Now hush! It seems as though there's going to be a fight before I strike." He liked seeing this, the emotional battle always weakens the warrior before he can step onto the battlefield. It made his life simplier, and more like a movie that he could sit beck and enjoy rather than put himself at risk. Besides, since he's been here he's found that he likes toying with the emotions of others around him, just as the master dose. It is simple, and usualy easy once you see a single weakness. It takes one loss, one heartbreak, one death, to completly destory a person. But of course, he had to learn that the hard way instead of watching it. Seeing and expeirence are two entirely diffrent things. But then again, what things in this world, or any other if there are others, are the same . . . "Stop it," he told himself, "Your getting distracted again. Shut up and watch little Suzie fight. The longer it goes the more my power grows."

Caspian finished changing, and was just buckling his sword to his side as he opened the door. When the King looked up he smiled, "Hey Susan." he said. But Caspian's smile faded when he saw her crossed arms and troubled expression. "What's wrong?" inquired the man. He wanted to reach for her hand, like he always did, but something told him not to. "Are you alright?"

Peter looked at Caspian angrily. His hands doubled into fists. "You don't understand do you?" he snarled. His eyes were burning with anger. "You don't understand about love do you? If it was Susan that was missing you won't stop at nothing nor have a moment's thought!" he took a deep breath, his eyes sparkling with held back tears. "But then again she is the queen and Lyric means nothing to you! I want to find her and Lucy both!" He turned on his heels and stormed off in a rage, wanting nothing better to do than to fight him right now. His vision was blurred with tears that threatened to spill. Ugh, how he hated to show emotion in public. He always hid them for fear of acting or being weak. He was a guy after all. Peter blinked as he looked at the sky. What to do now? he thought grumpily as he planted himself on a fallen log.
