The grip on the hilt of his sword tightened as the boy moved closer to the Queen and whispered something inaudible to his ears to her. His body posture tensed greatly, his knuckles turning a ghostly white from the death grip he held, taking all his self restraint not to smack Lamont upside the head for being an arrogant child that needed to be scolded. As he spoke of fleeing on the back of his ‘flying lion’ a soft, mocking expression played at the cool, emotionless one plastered on his facial region. “Only a coward would flee without meeting one’s fate, child” Glennstorm mused, brow raised as took a step in the direction of the boy. His voice held a tone that was a mix of amusement and warning toward who they were directed toward, and almost challenging him to flee. A game of chase would be quite entertaining right now he thought, barely lowering the point of his blade.
Holding his breath as Caspian made his appearance, Glennstorm shot a warning glance in the King’s direction hoping he wouldn’t make any bold movement that would ruin the chance of weaseling something out of the boy who supposedly knew Lucy’s location.

"On the contrary, good centaur, I did not flee lie a coward simply to save my skin." He said. The princess's lover had come guaranteeing him ore trouble. "See, young Lucy is a hard one to control. If it were not for fear itself I could not be able to say if she is still in her hiding place. The only thing that keeps her obedient to me is her new fear of Aslan. And being that Aslan was with me that night we met she could not be trusted alone."
He stopped for a moment, his eyes never leaving the prince, as he planned his next move. He wanted to be sure Caspian suffered before he took his place on the throne. But what is the best way to torture a man . . .
"Perhaps a bargain could be made."

Post by High King Peter on Jul 17, 2008 23:13:22 GMT -4
Peter was taking a walk in the forest. He had not slept in days and it was starting to show. He ran a hand through his hair, lost in thought. He came upon a small group. The king recognized Caspian and Susan with another person he did not know. Peter's blood began to boil as he recongized the other man, Lamont. In a flash he was behind him. He wrapped an arm around his neck tightly.
"I should have killed you when I had the chance!" he snarled, pulling his sword out. He was not himself lately and it was starting to worry him and those close to him. He was filled with nothing but a strong desire to kill all of a sudden. The evil showed in his eyes. He was not himself...

Len walked along the forest. Her bare feet making no sound on the soft leaves. She happened on a group. She noticed tow of the kings and the queen along with another person that king peter wanted to kill. "Ah what a lovely day. No rain just two people wanting to kill each other this should be fun" She said in a sly voice. She smoothed out her long black skirt and her red tunic as she walked towards them.

Susan watched as Peter came and gripped Lamont's throat. For the first time since Laomont's coming she lowered her bow only to shout. "Peter! Leave him! Let him speak!"
She wasn't sure what caused her to yell at her brother. It could've been how Peter's eyes showed emotion she couldn't understand or how the boy stared Caspian down or how. In either case she couldn't help but believe that this bargain would involve Caspian in some way.
"What is this bargain of yours?"

Caspian looked around at Peter and Len, and then looked up again to the sky to see if that flying beast was around. He couldn't see it, but that didn't mean that it wasn't there. But still, his cousin was outnumbered. Again.
The King took a step closer to Lamont, his sword still raised. "Yes, what sort of a bargin?" he inquired suspiciously.

Fianlly, we get down to buisness. . .
Peter gripped his throat and hit an unavoidable elbow to the stomach Lamont pulled his way out and rubbed the dirt off his clothes.
"Of course, I know how much you miss your sister and I am willing to make a slight change in my plans for you to see her again. I am more than sure you would like that, but my generosity comes with a price. In exchange for Lucy I will take one of you."

Peter glared at his sister. He turned his head to Lamont as he stated the bargain. He looked at Caspian and Susan and at Len. An idea was forming in his mind. It was starting to show in his eyes. He stepped forward, putting down his sword. "I refused to let you take my sister and Caspian," he said steadly. There was a cetain calmness to his voice. "You can have me," he wanted it to end. He wanted to stop the pain he was causing everyone.

Len watched with a smile. She knew something was going to be interesting. She was on no true side just yet but she felt sorry for the young queen and wanted to help the Narnians.
"What and offer. I would think someone of your status would think of something, well more" Len said to Lamont.

"Have you?" Lamont said disgusted, "Why in the hell would I want you?" He spat the ground at Peter's feet as the girl he did not know spoke. When she finished he looked over the group that outnumbered him. But Susan had lowered her bow and this he used to his advantage. In a quick movement he was in front of her with the hand that didn't hold his sword against the side of her neck. It was not a movement that suggested violence, but more like a touch two lovers might share.
"Believe me girl, I could have nothing, well more."

Caspian roared in anger, something you might actually hear from the mouth of a prevoked bear or lion. "Don't you touch her!" He growled as he grabbed his cousin by the throat, raising his blade. This time he would make sure the man felt pain as he ran the sharp edge down his skin. The cut wasn't deep enough to present any serious health issues, but it still drew blood. His family's blood.

Len shook her head. She had no weapon on her but still walked confidently over to Lamont and Caspian. She produced a flame in the palm of her hand and let it engulf the area around the fighters. It was a cold flame not able to hurt it was just for show. She let it play around her hand a try to snap at the fighters. She had a sly smile on her face and her eyes were slightly red as she used her powers. "Lets not fight. I am sure a compromise can be made. If not I could let the flames grow hotter and devour your skin and body very slowly." She meant every word that she said. "Now everyone put your weapons down so no mare blood can be spilled"

"I'll spill your blood if you don't stop this trickery." Caspian snarled at Len. It was obvious to anyone that he was still in rage at his cousin for even going near Susan, much less touching her. This cold fire threat that surrouned him didn't make his mood any better. Of course, the King would never hurt a lady unless she was an enemy to Narnia or its people. But his threat shown clearly that this fire trap had to end. "Why do you make this your business anyway? Were you not just passing through?"

Len's smile faded. She looked at Caspian with a fierce look in her face. She intensified the heat of the flames. Now the flames were warm but not hot yet. "I have nothing against you but I would suggest you not loose your temper otherwise I might loose mine. I was just passing through. I meet th Hight King Peter before and said I would help recover his sister. Hurting the only person who might just know where she is might not be the best idea" She said.

Caspian just stared at her, jaw clenched shut in his fury that only grew with the flames. "If you are on the side of Narnia, release me." the King said, trying to calm his voice down, but it only made it shake more with anger, but his efforts weren't hidden. "Why don't you use your magic on more usefull things, like trying to find his flying beast friend that he keeps with him?" His rage was mostly burning in him because of the chaos that his cousin had caused in nearly everything; The castle, the people, Susan, Peter, Edmund, and himself, Caspian. It would appear that being placed in a ring of fire only made him angrier, as was to be expected. But he did loosen his grip on Lamont. Just a little.
