Len knew her healing ability was not needed here. She took a deep breath and created a huge gust of air to stop the on coming arrows so the nymph could heal those wounded. She called to the trees and asked for their help in slowing down the attackers. "I can't keep this wind up for much longer" She said as small beads of sweet trickled down her face.

Peter looked at Len with a smile. "Yes it does. I think fighting follows you my dear. But I don't mind in the slightest-" he was interrupted by Ed's voice, warning him to run. Was he crazy? he asked himself. He wasn't about to leave these people in danger. "ED!" Peter yelled as he saw his brother take the arrows meant for him. He felt like he was in the battle with the witch again. He watched helplessly as Ed fell to the ground. Tears filled his eyes. He started to become angry as the men dashed from the trees with swords. Arrows were still flying as he pulled out his sword. A strange buzzing sound filled his ears as he rushed into the thickest fighting, fighting for narnia and his brother. He was determined to kill them all.

The healing would have done him good, and it did give him a bit more strength, but there was something wrong. Something that wasn't right, and Edmund was the only one who knew it right now. His eyes were clouding over, but he was still clear headed enough to look down at his newest arrow wound. Groaning quietly, he parted his shirt a bit where the point stabbed through, and saw a nasty greenish shade forming around the opening. Edmund couldn't believe his eyes. The one arrow that had been meant for his brother, the one arrow that was meant for the High King of Narnia, that Edmund had taken instead, was tipped with poisen. He didn't even want to let them know. As Whysper did what she could, he looked up at her with pleading eyes, his bloody hand reaching for hers for a moment. "Don't let them hurt him...Get him out of here." He pleaded weakly, not wanting Peter to lose his head and rush into battle. Narnia needed him, especially if Edmund wasn't going to make it. The young man stayed on his knees for a moment, not knowing what to do with himself at the moment. Groaning quietly, he took in a sharp breath, realizing that he felt like a hand was clutching around his throat and lungs. He was gagging painfully now, and his breaths became shorter and shorter. He was wheezing horribly, trying his best to get in the air he needed, but he knew that it wasn't working. He was slowly suffocating.
His eyes were closing slowly, but he needed to get his brother. He needed to get Peter out of here, simply because they couldn't lost him too. Using the strength he had gotten from Whysper's healing abilities, he pushed himself painstakingly to his feet. Holding his breath for a moment as if to conserve it, he let it go, and used his sword as a cane. He finally regained himself and saw Peter rushing in. No. He couldn't be the cause of his brother's death. Shaking his head, he stumbled forward, limping because of the pain of his leg. His voice was weak, but it was strong enough for Peter to hear. "Pete please...I need you. Don't go..." He yelled after him, trying to get his attention. He was stumbling after him, not wanting him to have to go in this alone. Finally getting a second win, he drew in his breath, and was finally sprinting to get after his elder brother. He wasn't able to get much on him, but he was realizing that the stream of arrows wasn't as strong as before. They were stopping slowly, and Edmund knew that they would sruvive this. Peter would survive this anyway. As the last arrow seemed to trickle out, Edmund stopped in his tracks, the tears lining his eyes from the agony. "Peter, I'm sorry." He whispered, shaking his head as he landed on his knees again.

Len quickly looked over. Poison She grabbed a bottle out of her bag and threw it to the King. "Drink King Edmund, it will help with the poison" She continued to help with the arrows but when those people came out she would be ready. A soon as they showed there would be fire to engulf them she thought as a flame danced in her palm.

When Peter started running off, she stared off after him, blinking in suprise. Where the heck did he think he was going? "Pete please...I need you. Don't go..." She turned to where she heard the words, and saw Edmund running, then fall to his knees again. "Stubborn king..." she muttered, then walked over to him, shaking her head. "Here, let me see that..." she said, opening his shirt where the wound was. It was then she saw the green substance she knew immediately as poison. Swearing under her breath, she looked at the king, patting his cheek to get his attention. "Hey! Your highness! Hang in there, okay? You need to stay awake..." She only knew a little about poision. There was an antidots, but she didn't have it with her. Blast... She looked back at Edmund, seeing a dullness in his eyes. She was losing him... "Hey!" she said, shaking him a little harder "Don't fall asleep, okay? Don't give in to the poison, that's how you die."

Peter swore as he gripped his brother by the collar and dragged him out. He was swearing at himself for getting him in danger. "This is excatlly why we would like you to stay at the castle," he began sternly. "We don't want to lose you too Ed," He dropped his sword and fell to his knees. He was shaking him roughly. "Ed, stay awake," there was tears in his eyes and some dripped down his face. He wrapped his arms around his brother's neck. "Stay awake," he didn't know what he would do if he lost his brother. He was crying openly and he knew it and didn't care.

Edmund was trying his best to do what they were all telling him to do. When one of the girls threw him a bottle, he wasn't able to catch it, but his fingers found it on the ground. But his hands were shaking so much that he couldn't get it to his face, and he was starting to tremble violently from the poisen. He felt so sick, and like he just wanted to sleep. Sleep would be the best thing for him right now, somehow he just knew it. So even though they were telling him to stay awake, he found it much easier to sink back into the shadows. A small groan escaped his lips, and he felt himself passing farther and farther away from them. But as he remained on his knees, he suddenly felt a hand grabbing roughly at his collar. Crying out from the pain the sudden movement brought him, he tried getting out of the grasp, but he was too weak, and the other was too strong. Landing hard on his back, he felt like the wind had been knocked out of him, and that wasn't helping with his breathing abililty at all at the moment. He stayed where he was though, not having the ability to get back up.
The light was edging slowly away from his eyes, and the only person he wanted to see right now was Peter. He wished that he could see Susan and even Lucy, but that wasn't possible at the moment. But he got what he wanted. Looking up with his half opened eyes, he saw Peter. Peter was speaking to him about something, but all he could hear was a buzzing sound in his ears, and it sounded like everyone else was extremely far away. He had risked his life for Peter because he knew Narnia needed him more. What good had Edmund ever done for the place? Nothing. He had risked the lives of his brother and sisters more than once, and maybe it'd be better if he wasn't hear anymore. As Peter stayed by him, Edmund grasped his brother's hand weakly. "Pete, it'll b-be okay. You don't need me...Narnia doesn't need me. They n-need you. What have I ever done for Narnia anyway. You and Susan...w-will find Lucy so much easier...without...worrying about me too. Find her f-for me Peter. Tell her, and Susan..that I'm s-sorry." He finished quietly, and felt himself sinking farther away. His eyes finally closed, and he fell into the sleep that would only lead to his death if something wasn't done soon.

Growling some curses under her breath, she ripped open his shirt, and picked up the bottle. Opening it, she nearly jammed it between his teeth, and put her fingers on the wound. "I'm so sick of people giving up. You're a king, for crying out loud, and you're acting like a bloody coward!" Tears of frustration were in her eyes, and also from the emotion going on around her. She knew she'd probably be scolded for her harsh words, but she didn't care. She'd faught hard to be where she was today, to fight alongside her kings and queens. None of them were giving up on her. Placing her fingers on the wound, she concentrated harder, using water to draw the poison out. Of course, it would go into her, but she could bear it better and get rid of it easier. "Stop sobbing, your highness" she growled, "Be useful and get me something to wrap him with..." She felt bad, and blushed, clearing her throat. "Please?" she said, nicer. She looked back at Edmund. He was regaining color. Placing a hand on his cheek, she smiled. It wasn't cold, like before, which meant he was getting better. "He's healing..." she said, to Peter, unable to contain her smile. She felt proud she could help.

"There is no way I'm not fighting without you!" Peter growled. His grip was tightening. "You are an idiot Ed. Everyone loves you. We are trying to protect you so we won't lose you. No one wants to lose you Ed. We all need our stubborn brother and Narnia needs its stubborn king," he looked at the other woman with a start as she growled. Peter smiled as he took off his outer shirt and tore it up. He wrapped it over the wounds tightly. "You are one stubborn and annoying brother Ed," he said trying to lighten the mood. He looked at the woman. "Thank you. I didn't catch your name,"

He really didn't understand what was going on. He felt like he was there, but then again, he felt like he was drifting farther away from those that were gathered. Groaning softly, it seemed as if he was coming to, especially after Whysper had shoved the liquid in the bottle down his throat. He gagged half of it back up, but there was enough in his system so that he was starting to feel better. He was starting to find the harmful liquid inside of him, and his breathing seemed to grow steadier and easier even as he lay there. His closed eyes were fluttering slowly, and he finally was able to gaze upwards as if he was seeing for the first time in a long time. He relaxed slightly, but the pain was still there from the arrow wounds. His tired eyes looked from Whysper to Peter, and it seemed like he had no idea what was going on. He didn't understand why they were around him like this, and then he remembered. It hit him like a smack in the face, and his pale features reddened immediately. Edmund didn't like feeling like he was vulnerable, and lying down like this was making him feel just that way.
He became aware of the fact that there were now pieces of fabric wrapped tightly around him, and he gazed at the wound on his chest to see the shirt slowly turning crimson from his blood. This wasn't comfortable at all. Grimacing slightly, he started pushing himself up, feeling as if he was going to wretch from the agony. Looking over to Peter, he grinned sheepishly, yet weakly at his brother's words. "Yeah well, you're no angel yourself." Good to have that Edmund back instead of the one from before. He shook his head to clear the fog that had gathered, and then looked over to the young lady that had played a large role in saving his life. Len had helped with the antitdote as well, and he'd be forever greateful. "Thank you." He said honestly, but then felt himself growing tired again. He was still really weak, and his wounds still needed to be taken care of so he'd stop bleeding all over. Consenting for a moment, he leaned forward, his head gradually falling to his chest from his exhaustion. He wasn't going to be running away for a good while now.

"Whysper, milord, at your service. And sorry for my harsh words..." she said, looking embarrassed. When Edmund spoke she looked to him and smiled. "You're welcome" she said, looking again to his wounds, "You probably shouldn't move, you're still..." She looked over at him, and saw he'd fallen asleep. At least he could, now. Smiling, she looked at the High King. "He'll be all right now."

Peter rolled his eyes at his brother's words. "Can you keep your smart mouth to yourself for once?" he teased as he ruffled Ed's hair. "Glad to have the stubborn and annoying Ed back as always. You won't be running away anymore Ed. I'll make sure of that," he smiled as he watched his brother falling asleep. It was like being back in England before the war. At those thoughts Peter stopped cold. What was happening in England? he thought. The war must be over by now. He smiled. "Its allright Whysper. And its just Peter when we're alone like this with family," he nodded. "I suppose I needed to hear those harsh words to come to my senses,"

Edmund was having a hard time staying awake, but he was able to hear Peter's words. Sighing quietly, he looked over at him with a small grin upon his face. "Yeah right. I don't think it's possible for me to keep quiet." He said with a small laugh, but found that that had caused him more pain from his abdomen. A small grimace worked it's way upon his features, although he did his best to hide it. The arrow was still angled uncomfortably, and he knew that it had to come out. It would bleed more, yes, but it would bring him more comfort. Holding his breath in, he looked down at the piece and closed his eyes. He could pull it out, it'd be fine. Looking to Peter for a moment, he glanced back down at his abdomen and clenched his fingers around the wooden shaft. Releasing the breath as he went, he suddenly twisted and wrenched the arrow from the wound, and a cry rose in his throat from the pain. That had hurt more than he had originally thought it would. His breathing had intensified from the effort, and he panted slightly, giving his brother and Whysper a squeamish grin. He didn't want to show his pain, but that had definitely hurt.
Shaking his head, he ignored the piece that was still lodged in his chest area, as well as the one in his leg. Those weren't doing any damage at the moment. He had heard Peter's words about keeping him from running away though, and gave him a defiant look. Yes, Edmund was back. Every single hard headed, determined, stubborn, and free willed piece of him. Pete had his hands full for now. He set his jaw in his defiance, and then gave him a challenging look. "Yes, because you'll actually let me out of the castle to help you, won't you? I saved you from that arrow. You owe me Peter. And plus, if I'm with you, then you won't have to worry about where else I could be." He said matter of factly, and then lifted his hands away from his arrow wound on his waist. They were covered in blood, but that didn't matter much to him at this moment. "So I'm all for sitting in the grass and everything, but can we do it some other time when I don't have pieces of arrow stuck inside of me?" He said easily enough, ready to get out of here. He didn't want to stay here in case anyone came back quite honestly.

Whysper winced when he pulled out the arrow. She could see the pain in his eyes so well, it nearly hurt her. She almost laughed at Edmund's comment, and looked to Peter again. "We should get him out of here. I can treat him more properly there, with more supplies and things."

Peter sighed and shook his head with a grin. "Same old Ed. You have changed since we left England, but not by much. We all changed and for the good," he said with a smile. It turned to sudden pain when Ed pulled the arrow out. "Trust me Ed, I know how it feels," he then told Ed what had happened after he had met Lyric and how they were kissing when Lamont's men showed up and slammed the arrow to his back. "It was very painful for me," he finished with a nod. He then frowned. Ed was right, Peter did owe him. "I suppose I haven't got much of a choice do I?" he asked to no one. "If you really want to do this Ed then I can count you in." upon hearing footsteps Peter turned and groaned. Jon was right behind him. "Did I tell you not to-" the king raised his hand for silence, he was not in a mood to deal with him right now. "There's a hiding place not to far from here. Suppose to be secret but I discovered it on my explorations of the forest. We can take him there," Peter stood and lifted his brother. "Jeeze, Ed you're heavy," he said with a groan. He looked to Jon and Whysper. "Both of you coming?" he asked. Jon paused for a moment and nodded.
