"Of course he is," She answered. Everyone in Caspian's bloodline seemed to be strong. Even then he was holding her in the air, his arms not even trembling. She wasn't about to say how heavy she was after carrying four kids, but it had to at least be difficult for him. With a smile she found a way to relieve him. She wrapped her legs around his waist and kissed him, one hand gently against his cheek. She did not pull away, why would she ever want too?

He hummed softly in satisfaction, and wrapped his arms around her legs to support her. He tried to say something when she kissed him, but it was muffled. He sat down on one of the tree roots that rose out of the ground, glad that they were alone and no one would bother them. Ever. Her belly pressed against his ribcage, and he could feel the baby kicking at her. Caspian put a hand there, as if it might calm his son. Sometimes it worked for Galen and his sisters, sometimes they just kicked more at his hand. He smiled beneath her kiss.

After a moment she was the one to pull away, no matter how she did not want to. The baby kicked at his father's touch no harder than usual. Had he forgotten what Caspian felt like? "You wanted to say something?" She said smiling the brief moment of fear.

"I thought of a name." he said, still trailing his fingers over her belly. It had not ceased to amaze him that a baby grew just beyond his reach. And his son, too. He had no favorite between this boy and Galen, but no one could really blame him for being excited. Another son. And this time, Caspian really would be a father. He wondered for a moment if the child might look like him. Galen had some of his qualities too, since Lamont and Caspian shared blood, but thank God they weren't too noticeable. Galen looked so much like Susan, it was incredible. It didn't take long for Caspian to get so absorbed in his thinking that he forgot to announce the name he had come up with. Would he like him? Did he even remember Caspian's touch? Had he been away too long? He kissed her belly softly. "Do you think he remembers me?" he asked Susan without looking up. "Can he hear me?"

"did you?" she said a little surprise in her voice. "I thought you would hold off for a while." She smiled when he touched her stomach. With Galen she was amazed that he had even spoken to him after he knew the boy existed. Now she found wonder in the fact that he treated this one no different than one that wasn't his. "I don't know." She said, her tone turning sad. "With Galen and his sisters they got all excited when you touched them, remember? This one . . . He hardly even moves."

"...Maybe he's sleeping." he said, trying to make an excuse for the baby. He really wanted him to care and know who his father was. Caspian didn't want to believe that he had been gone too long. He had gone for him after all. For him and his mother and his brother, and any others that followed after him. "My son," he said aloud, no quieter than if he had been talking to anyone else. "Daddy's here." he said, and gave Susan's belly a little pat. There was no doubt about it. As strong a warrior as he was, Caspian was soft around his family, like a wolf turned into the family dog. "I love you." he tried again. Everything he said had an air of questioning about it, as if he was waiting for his son's response. But then that air was gone. "I'm sorry." he said, and he meant it. "I'm sorry I haven't been around this last month. I'm sorry I haven't been there to get to know you. I'm sorry you had to hear Mommy crying over me. I'm sorry you had to run away from those demons when I left. I'm sorry I wasn't there to protect you and Mommy. I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to say goodbye. I'm sorry I wasn't there to rock your brother to sleep. I'm sorry I wasn't there to keep Mommy warm at night. I'm sorry if you've forgotten me, and I'm sorry if you're angry." He knew everything he said might not have been heard, or understood, for that matter. He doubted if unborn children could understand very many of the sounds they heard. But what did he know? Really, not much at all. He hadn't grown up with all of the science and technology that Susan did. But it was at least worth a shot, talking to his son. He had done so with Galen, after all. "But Daddy's here now." he continued. "And I'm not going anywhere."

"You don't have to appologize for everything." She told him with a light kiss even though she kenw it was hopleless trying to convince him. "Give it some time and he won't even remember you leaving in the first place."

"I'd be more grateful if he even remembered me at all." Caspian said sadly, leaning back against the trunk of the tree from where he sat on the root. His head turned up as he looked at the little patch of stars that were visible through the leaves. The crickets chirped and the wind wound its way through the grass, just as it always had. Galen slept below them, wrapped in his own little bundle of blankets. Caspian scooped him carefully up into his arms. He stroked his son's head softly, where jet black hair now lightly covered his scalp in fine strands. He really did look just like Susan. He kissed his forehead softly and continued to stroke him as he slept. "Do you think we should ever tell him?" he asked his wife, not taking his eyes off Galen. His hand left the babe and went to Susan's leg, which still rested over his waist, and he caressed it gently. It had been so long since he had been able to be this close to his family, not just watch them from leagues a far. If he could wrap his arms around all of them, he certainly would. But that would wake Galen.

"He'll remember," She told him. "He just needs a reminder." when he took Galen she didn't want to answer. If they did would their son decide to try to reach his true father? If they didn't would he think he had been betrayed by the ones who raised him? Maybe it was better if they just let time run it's course. But every thought stopped when he stroked her leg. A satisfied sigh escaped her. Once more he had managed to push every thought out of her mind but him.

She made the hairs on the back of his neck stand up when she sighed, and he smiled devilishly, trailing his hand up her thigh to the small of her back. He tried his best to look innocent, and of course he failed. He grabbed her tush because he wanted to and he could, and he knew she wouldn't object. "Bella seƱora." he complimented her, his voice soft and filled with his accent. Caspian loved her. No one could doubt that. Now, he wanted to spend all his time with her and never go back to the castle. Not tonight. But they had children. Being in youth, in love, and in parenthood did not always play out the way he desired, and he was sure it didn't for her, either. But here, it didn't matter. They were in their secret place, where none would find them. This was their sanctuary.

A smile came and her head dropped so her forehead leaned against his. Her body trembled from desire, one she was afraid to give, as she breathed a plea for more. He would give it, she was sure, but how far. His words, words she could barely understand, drew her in closer, driving her to kiss his neck.

He put Galen back in his little nest of grass gently as Susan came nearer, pressing their foreheads together. Of course, the king was smiling. He loved these moments with his love. A part of him wanted for her to run so he could chase her, and hear her laugh when she turned to see him gaining. Really, he would have just as much enjoyed watching her run, though he knew that she would probably prefer to lay limply against his chest. And he loved it when she did that too. But not tonight. "Run, mi amor." he said, though it was more of a request than a demand. He bit at her neck seductively, though his plans began to backfire and he could feel his own desires quickly rising up within him and his pulse quickening. But he continued, and he lifted one hand to stroke her breast. "Please?"

She smiled as she struggled with his words. Languages were never really her thing. But this time she managed to figure it out, but was still confused. Why would he want her to run from him? Was there some dark part of him that came with him being a demon like Peter did when Lamont took over him. "I'm not about to run from my husband," she told him stroaking the side of his neck with her fingers. "I can't anyway. I'm to far along and little Caspi would get hurt."

"But I like to watch you run." he complained, and bit at her fingers somewhat aggressively and in dissatisfaction, but not enough to hurt her. When she said it would hurt the baby, he stopped. He caressed the dome of her belly softly, wondering about her last sentence. "How much longer?" he asked. There would be a few months left, or so Caspian thought, anyway. The time he had spent away was tedious, but short at the same time, even in its length. It felt like he had died yesterday, and here he was. But he could never forget the longing, and the waiting, for his family. And she was much larger than she was a month ago, and rightfully so. He would have been worried if she wasn't.

She smiled and kissed him. She had been waiting for him to ask. "Only a few weeks," she answered happily.
((OOC: I know its short but I gotta go))
