"Caspian!" How had she been right? Caspian was where he was told to go at the right time. He went through the desert, the sand far diffrent than the soil he was used to. the weight of his armour and his body forced him into the sand with each step, but he was where he needed to be. He knelt before his king like normal soldiers did and then looked up. "My king, demons are beginning to gather farther north. They are killing of civilians, farmers, merchants, and tax collectors in hopes of bringing down your kingdom's resourses." He gave his report and waited for his kings responce.

(Past scene, since Caspian is going to die soon in a different thread)
Caspian stood by the oasis, staring into its depths. It had saved him and Susan once, and he wondered of its powers. What kept such a pool full and pure when there was no rain to fill it? It puzzled him. But he was awoken from his thoughts when the knight approached him.
"Has there been an order sent for defense?" he demanded. Even if the King was not there at the time of the attack, Generals had the authority to call up troops in emergencies. Even some of the civilians were expected to fight. No Narnian would ever sit there and take it. The people were to brave for that. But still, they needed to get there, fast. He mounted his horse and extended a hand to James. "Climb aboard or be left behind." Caspian was never really in a good mood when the demons came. No one was. But Aslan was with them, and he had no fear.

James looked up not necessarily happy about having to ride on the same horse as the king. But he mounted anyway, not liking how uncomfortable it was, and let Caspian drive. "Probably, but I left before I could know too much."

Caspian spurred his horse onward toward the north. "When did they come?" he asked, wondering how long the battle had been going on.

Feeling useless James shook his head. "I don't know, maybe an hour ago." Part of him knew it was to long ago. By now to much of the village had to have been destoried.

Caspian was silent, his jaw clenched and grinding his teeth. He hated war. Absolutely hated it. When all of this was done, he would be sure to equip every town from the borders of Telmar all the way to the far tips of Narnia. Every human and creature would not be caught off guard or incapable.
