Len only shook her head. She took Galen and positioned herself to watch the show and also stay far back enough not to get hurt. She was glad that for once the village would see a taste of something real, something that made the world what it was. She just waited for the sun to go down and watched the other villagers watch wondering what was about to happen.

Damian waited until everyone was seated or standing, but watching. He gulped once. Just because he was a soldier didn't mean he wasn't allowed to be nervous every once in a while. But he kept looking at Lennia and Galen, gaining his confidence. He would prove to this village that Fire Spirits weren't bad, just because they can control over fire magic. He would show them all that his people could have just as much fun as any other. With any luck, they would get up and join him.
This was the old celebration tradition of his people. Just a common dance that they all learned at some point or another. It celebrated the victory of war and told the scenes of the battlefield. Among his own people, he felt at ease. Here, he was out of place. Strange. But that was alright. He would show them.
He tied bells to hands and feet, and set up an unlit fire pit. One of the villagers he had convinced to beat the war drum, and he began. His entire body ignited into flame that without his consent would not burn a thing. That was the glorious magic. All that could be seen was the fire and bells, and the details of his face. He began to dance, the bells jingling where he stepped or moved. He clapped his hands and passed before the crowd, encouraging them to do so as well. Then he was back at center stage. He gave a smile to them. Not even Lennia would be suspecting. His body burst, the flames jolting out as his body took the form of a stallion. Those bells still on his... hooves, now, he pranced like a brave war horse ready for battle. A child cheered. Galen. Damian smiled as his eyes looked over to him, and he noticed Lennia's mother whispering something to her daughter. Damian smiled wider, and let out a thunderous neigh.
