The ballroom was decorated in red bows and ribbons of gold, And the palace was filled with joyous souls, young and old. It was here, that the story would begin to unfold. A tale of presents and elves and reindeer, and winds of cold. Never here would a lie be told, For fear the scarlet stockings be filled with coal. Dancing and playing, would be every lamb and foal. Sitting beside Santa Claus, with smiles so whole. Waiting to be rewarded for their good deeds and kind souls, A doll, a book, a toy, or even a kitty Would be enough to make them giddy.
Caspian sat in a big chair, dressed in red robes. A fake white beard flowed from his chin, and a fluffy red hat rested atop his head with a white cloth snowball at the end of it. A pillow had been stuffed up his shirt to make him look fat, and he wore thick black boots that were three sizes to big for his feet. "Ho ho ho!" he chuckled, scooping up the next little child that was in line. "I'm Santa Claus." he introduced himself, shaking the child's hand. "What's your name?"

Susan stood aside letting him be Father Christmas for a while. She knew it wasn't nessary, he would come eventualy. No one doubted he existed in Narnia, not like they did in England where there where the kids would simetimes fight over whether or not he was real. Someone Susan's age have accepted he was fake. When she came to Narnia to to see Father Christmas and he gave her the bow, Peter the sword and sheild, and Lucy her cordial. Now Caspian was foolishly dressed to be Father Christmas in a way no diffrent than they did in England to convince children he was real. Someone put a child on his lap and he laughed in a voice that he trained himseslf to change so he sounded like Father Christmas. she would have liked to hear his real voice, but father Christmas sounded nothing like Caspian. She stood off to the side, her hand over their son, with only thinking the same thing over and over again as she watched him: He would be a wonderful father.

Nicole stood against a pillar watching the festivities. She hadn't been sure to come at first but she decided to anyway. Nicole wore a blue dress that split into two sections near her knees. The dress was lined with silver and gold. Nicole laughed when she heard Caspian's Father Time laugh. Nicole hadn't really celebrated Christmas since her brother had left. Nicole was glad she had come though, everyone was happy and so was she.

Anna was at the food table, munching on some raw fish that the humans called sushi. It wasn't bad. She could do without the weird vegetable things, but the fish was good. The griffin looked over to her left, watching the little children sit on the King's lap. "You should go up there." she suggested to Nicole.

Nicole walked over to where Anna was eating. "There is no way i'm going up there." Nicole said with a tiny laugh at the end. "i'm way to old, and besides i'm more comfortable right here with you." Nicole finished. She didn't like to admit it but Nicole was a little nervous being here let alone going up there. She smiled at Anna but there was no way she was going up there.

Anna couldn't help but chuckle. "You only think that you are old." she laughed. "But you are still a youngling. Go on up there. You'll get a present from Father Christmas."

Nicole gave Anna a look when she said she was young. "hey, come on. You really think i'm a kid? There is no way i'm going up there." Nicole finished. She really enjoyed Anna's company but sometimes it was a little to much. Nicole looked at Anna and acctually thought about getting a present. Nicole's face droped when she remembered the last Christmas she had spent with her family. "I remember Andrew got a bow and arrow so he could train with me and dad." thought Nicole staring off. "I really don't deserve a gift." she told Anna.

"You're not to old to sit on Father Christmas's lap." she said, trying not to chuckle again. But then Anna frowned, "What do you mean you don't deserve a gift? Of course you do!" she said, chewing on another piece of fish. "You're a good kid. You should get a gift too."

Nicole knew that Anna was talking but she really didn't hear her as her thoughts floated only to the past.

Anna waved a talon in front of her face. "Nicole?" she asked, and when she didn't respond, the lion-bird picked up a piece of fish from the table and passed it under the child's nose. "Hello?" Still no response. She put the fish back and slyly picked up an ice cube. Anna was going to put it down her shirt, but then decided against it since Nicole was dressed so beautifully. Instead, she put the cube in the child's hand and waited for her to realize that she was holding ice.

Nicole remembered everything so perfectly. How the snow fell that day and how her and Andrew wanted to rush out and play in it. Of course there parents wouldn't let them until they had warm clothes on. "Come on mom. It's not that cold." said Andrew. "Come on Andrew, just listen." Nicole told him putting on a coat. "Why are you always on her side?" he asked a frown on his face as Nicole helped him into his coat. "Come on i'm not always. Remember the mud bath?" Nicole said smiling. "Oh do i! I remember getting so dirty we had to take two baths in a row just to get it all off." He replied returning my smile. "Come on lets get outside." Nicole said opening the door. Nicole sighed as the memories floated through her head. It was too cold though especially her left hand. Nicole opened her eyes to see an ice cube almost fully melted in her hand. "Huh?" Nicole said as she looked around the room and then settled on Anna.

"Hi. Welcome back." she teased her, smiling. Anna took the ice cube from her hands and hid it under the table, where it could melt without someone slipping on it. "I said, You're a good kid. You should get a gift too. You deserve one." Anna repeated herself. "You're not to old to get a gift from Father Christmas."

"Welcome back? Had she gone anywhere? Nicole couldn't remember..........Oh yeah i was at the Christmas party." Nicole thought. "No i'm probably not to old, i just don't really want anything." She said to Anna.

"Don't want anything for Christmas?" she asked, surprised. "That's a first. There must be something that you want." Anna said. She flicked an ear around, always listening for that assassin boy. Her eyes darted around the room, and to her delight, she didn't see him. But that meant that she couldn't watch him at the moment, and didn't know what it was that he was doing. "Where's that murderer boy?" Anna asked. That was the name that she had used for him. Murderer boy.

"Nothing at all really." Nicole answered about the present. "You know that is a lie." Sevona said. "Yeah, i know but i'm not gonna ask for my brother. I can't." Nicole responded. Nicole looked around when Anna mentioned Devon. "Since when have you called him that?" Nicole asked, not spotting Devon.
