"Yes." he snapped, groaning and snarling as she took his strength away. "It will only get worse for her because of you. Now that he knows that I am aware of him, things can only get worse." His expression went dark. "Give me back my strength. Now."

"I may have aggrivated it by mistake, but I have not been the cause of it. She was steadily becoming worse as the time passed and you know it. She was right in front of you and she couldn't tell you what she did that caused her to flee from Lamont that night with Galen. What she did I will not say for it is her place. But it was horrible and cannot be overlooked. But she didn't do it because she wanted. She did it because your brother wanted it. She was like this before I came simply because he knew you loved her. If anyone is the cause of this it is you."

"You may not be the cause of it, but it is your fault that he is even more aggrivated, and that now he might kill my wife. That is your fault, and I'll not forget it." He snarled at her again, and then roared, "How is this my fault? I've done nothing but love her and try to prevent all of this! You are the one who invaded my mind, and now you are the one who is slowing me down! You are keeping me away from her with every second we waist standing here doing nothing. Give me my strength, and I will ride to her. I'll deal with you once I'm back at the Castle."

"Because it is your love for her that has put her in this path." She answered, "Your family is set against you Caspian. Only your mother, who is their prisioner now, has ever dared to favor you. You were put on this earth to be a pawn to their will and now that you have refused it they will take away everything you hold dear. They took your mother, they took your father, they took your birthright, they took me, and now they are going after Susan. But they're not stupid, they've lived this long for a reason. They can see how you look at her, how her every word is like diamonds to her, how every second your near her is like one with happy butterflies and unicorns and flowers and how every moment she is gone is as sad as a rainy day. They see it just as much as I do. That's why they won't kill Susan. Why kill her and have you just live without her. It would be hard, but you could eventually find some way to not fear her memory. But why should he do that when he could just have her turn against you and have you watch her fall in the arms of another man? It would hurt you more to see her spend her life in suffering than to watch her die. That is why you have caused it. The only way to avoid her suffering is to side with them and help them destroy Aslan. I can guarantee you that if you do then the spells placed over her will leave and she will be yours to love and hold and stay with. But you have no intention of joining them, so she will suffer."

"So then it is my fault because I love her?" Caspian snarled. "I can't go against Aslan. I won't go against Aslan. And they can bloody well have you. I don't care! All that you've done has brought me pain. Look now, you even waist my time. Give me back my strength!" he demanded again.

"I'm trying to help you Caspian, but you won't let me. It is because I love you that I force myself to wish the both of you well. It isn't in my nature to let things go but I am trying. You think this isn't hard for me as well? You saw Susan walk willingly to Lamont's side. I must endure that pain each time you say her name or see her face. I want to help you but if you'd stop being angry with me for a single mistake then things can be easier."

"That single mistake might cost her life!" he barked. "Susan. Susan. Susan. Susan. I love Susan!" Caspian said. He did feel pitty for the elf, but the anger of possibly hlosing his lover came to the surface, locking the pitty away. But it was still there, scolding him quietly as she mentioned feeling the pain that he himself had felt. But then it was silent again. "And we're going to have a child!" he said. "A little boy. In nine months he'll be in her arms! And you put his life at risk too."

"Why don't you even listen to me? She will not die. They can't afford to lose her. She's a pawn to use against you. Nothing more. The only reason I ride with you is to make this futile attempt to end her suffering with you. But it will not do anything to stop her. If one child your mother will only be hurt to bring life to another and the next in line will continue the duty. But she won't die."

"What about my son?!" he snapped. "What if he dies? I will not let any more of her babies die because I am not their to protect her. Now give me my strength or I will kill you! I should have never saved you on the mountain. I've saved your life and put my family at risk. You're right. It is my fault." that was taking it a bit far. He knew that it would hurt, and he would regret it later. But for now, he was angery and scared.

She was silent as she allowed the energy to pass. Maybe in defense for herself she had brought it too far. Yes, she was right, but maybe it hurt him too much to think he had put Susan in danger that if it ever were to be then it would be him on the mountain alone and carving his pain into his arms. But in honesty, he couldn't answer him truthfully without bringing his anger. She could never lie to him, even if she spoke in the human tongue, and could not tell him. Cotnar would do anything to ensure Susan birthed one one child and his children would follow his commands. She spurred her steed forward a few steps as much with her mind as she did with her heels. "We will kill your brother causes any harm," She said trying to sound comforting, "I won't let any harm come to Susan even if it meant fighting through my master."

"Liar." he grumbled under his breath angerly. It was so easy to accuse her, and he thought it made him fee better, when in reality it only made him feel worse. "You said that before too, and what did you do? You turned right around behind my back after you swore through magic, and you hurt her. You are the reason for her stitches. You are the reason that she pains. You are the reason that our bodies couldn't touch that night because it would bring her hurt." Caspian spurred his horse to catch up with her. "How can I trust you after what you did to her? How can I trust that you will keep your word this time after you broke it so badly? Hmm? How?"

She let his words strike, but not let them sink and hurt her and make her confused with so many emotions. She told her horse to step forward and he did until he was just ahead of Caspian. Only then did she look back and give her answer: "Because I'm your only chance."

A snarl was his only answer. "How is it that someone who pierces themself with a blade, undergoes surgery and practically gets sewen back together, rides so quickly?" Caspian asked miserably. Did she even feel pain at all, as Susan did?

"Because I'm an elf. We're not like you humans, we last longer and are stronger. Even our children can fight better and run faster and longer than your greatest warriors or horses. Are bows and spears and homes and silver ships are sung from trees, all taking the greatest of energy, and they can be used for much longer. Our bows shoot twice as far and fast and the arrows can strike stone and not shatter. Our bodie's simply heal faster. If I had gone through the training I should have there would be no need for this steed, I could run faster than it anyway."

Caspian lost interest very quickly, and gazed off to the right, away from her. He had nothing more to say, and simply grunted a response.
