The chimera roared at the attack. He could not say it was unexpected, either she attack or submit. though he had hoped she would lean in favor of the submission she did not. He roared as the stone went through his chest, but it would go away with time. It was natural for a changeling to have extremley regenetive bodies, otherwise it would be impossible for them to change without hurting himself. The dragon tail thrashed under Caspian's weight but could do nothing to move him. The rest of his body struggled with Susan, clawing and biting whatever his claws and fangs could come in contact with.

Susan held back screams as the claws raked over her body tearing her skin and clothes. Blood dripped freely from her body and her mind was beginnig to fade. But with each passing moment she forced strength into her limbs as she drove the stone in and out of his flesh. she would see to it that somehow he would die tonight. But his claws slashed across her chest drawing massive amounts of blood. Her mind bacame dark for long moments at a time and she thought she lost ballance and swooned one of those times. When her world was relatively stable her vision was blurry and her strength was sapped. With one final thrust she almost threw the stone into the lion's face, hoping there was enough force behind it to shatter his skull but knowing it was unlikely. And then she fell again as darkness consumed her as blood continued to leave her body faster than it was being replaced. She had already lost enough blood earlier durring the birth and this only agravated it. But if she were to die here she would take the monster with her.

Caspian tried to pull her away after the first slash of claws, but it was impossible between her will to take him down and his bleeding wound. Finally, when she had no more strength Caspian was able to part them. "Susan!" he yelled, when he realized that she was bleeding yet again. The King left the animal there, hoping that he was too hurt to follow. Foolishly, Caspian tried to pick Susan up. He howled in pain as the pressure came to his arm, but she was in far worse condition than he was. He bit his tongue and tried again, succeeding. The King looked up to Len and jerked his head, motioning for her to come to the castle with them and bring the baby. "Susan?" Caspian said questioningly as he ran, trying his best not to stumble over his own bare feet.

Len watched in frustration. What was she to do? There was a newborn in her arms and people dieing on the ground bellow her. She could feel the rage boiling inside of her. Protect the child and the Mother, the father can take care of himself. That monster is your target, she told herself. Her hair turned blond as her eyes became red. In this form it was almost impossible for her to harm the child when she fought. She could also fight harder and longer. She thrust a fire ball at the beast followed by a huge gust of wind. She was going to make it known that she was strong and ready to fight even if there was a infant falling asleep in her arms.

The boy wandered through the woods wondering if the task had been carried. As he heard the sound and saw the fire above the trees he knew it had been so. He ran to them, sword drawn and was pleased at what he saw. The Valiant Queen was dead, just as he said he would. Queen Susan, his Susan, lie beside the Chimera as the prince tried to carry her with a broken wrist. "Master!" He called as he went to the beast's side. There was no need to pretend to be enemies, all had been told. He heaved his shoulder into the lion's side and pulled him to his paws. Blood stained much of his golden fur as well as the land around him. "You are no longer well, Come we go home."

Susan's blood boiled at the sight of the boy. The only thing she had done right, not believe in his divinity, was true and this meant he could be killed like any common dog in the streets. She wanted to attack him, just as she had his master, and make sure he too was dead. But she lacked the strength to lift her stone again. Darkness came in longer intervals now and she thought she would see Lucy. As long as I take the monster with me, she thought, then my son can be safe. Lamont is nothing without his master. Please, Aslan, let what I did kill him.

"Stay awake." Caspian said, patting her face gently. "Please, don't go to sleep." The King turned his head over his shoulder to make sure that the witch was still with them. His son was nearly sleeping. Caspian looked back down at the girl in his arms sadle, tears dropping from his eyes again, a few of them landing on her. This was the second time that she was near death today.

Lamont looked back from where he supported his master. The boy would stay beside the weak girl and pray she lived. He had little intrest, if she would not be with him she would not be with anyone. But when he looked away from her face he saw that her stomach no longer held it's wide form. His son had been born! Knowing he would regret the action later he turned to face Caspian drawing his sword prepared to fight the wounded prince if he had to. "Where is my son!" he roared, "I will have him."

She wanted to scream at him, though she had barely heard his words. "You will not have him," She struggled to whisper and forced herself to sit up. "Weak as I am I'd still kill you if you tried." She spoke the challenge knowing it was truth. She would never part with Galen, she had decided that already. The thought made her want to scream at whatever part of her convinced her that leaving her son was right. She would never lose him.

"It's a girl!" Caspian shouted over his shoulder, lying. "And you'll not have her. She died soon after she was born, two days ago." He acted torn, as if he really had had a daughter that had died. Honestly, the emotion wasn't that hard to fake, with the death of Lucy, and the threat of Susan's death as well. The danger that all of them were in now, and the broken wrist on his arm. The fact that he really did have two dead children also added, quite possibly one of them could have been his daughter. With all of this, his act was extremely convincing. Caspian ran faster when he realized that his cousin hadn't run after them, simply shouted as if expecting the King to turn and fight.

She allowed Caspian to speak almost feeling as horrible as he sounded. But lies could be easily seen when it was already known. If anything, she had already said it was a him when she answered. But there were other reasons. Lennia had told her that their child was a son and she had told Lamont before he murdered the other two. It was only then did the thought sink in: She had never told Lamont she was having triplets before yet he killed them with his blade. It was only now that she understood that he knew he was not risking his only child through the trator that she trusted as her father. Besides, why would she have been so protective, threatening to kill Lamont, over a dead boy. She fell back into Caspian's uninjured arm and let her hand's grasp his clothes. In his atempt to protect Galen he had only made things worse. "Please," She begged, trying to make her voice match Caspian's in his greif, "Just leave us be"

"No!" He shouted waving his sword threateningly. He had no shame in killing his cousin now, injured as he was. "I will have my son, my heir, my Serkan. You cannot hide him from me forever witch. I could hear your screaming a league away. I could hear the trees as they danced and sang of the child born of the queen. It happened not long ago. Now I will have him or the both of you will die. Do you find this too hard to understand?"

They had nearly reached the Castle now as Caspian turned around. "Susan is not a witch!" the man yelled. He didn't really believe that the word 'witch' was an insult. But in this text, it was. "And yes, actually, I do find that hard to believe. You've not taken a step towards us. Do so, and your 'master' will surely die of loss of blood. Your choices are to foolishly come after the three of us, losing your magic in the process, or save him and leave us be." The King opened the door to their santuary and closed it behind Len. Several women and maids screamed at the sight of the blood on the two of them, and word was quickly sent to secure the Keep yet again. This time, though, Narnia was ready. There were no demons to attack them. The first wounds had already been delivered, and one of their enemies was held to life or death by the decision of his aprentice. However, Caspian and Susan were also injured, and the girl's heartbeat was faster than was healthy. She could die too if she didn't recieve propper care. So Caspian ran down to the Medical Chambers, his feet pounding hard against the stone. His toes were red by the time they got there, and he was able to lay Susan down on one of the beds. "We need help!" Caspian yelled for a doctor.

Susan kept a tight grip on the hand that wasn't broken. Only through it would he be sure she was still contious. She let her eyes close and her body lie still to conserve strength. But every now and then her mind would fade only to return and her grip would falter. Lamont was far behind them, whether he chose to follow or not she didn't know or care. He couldn't lay siege to a castle by himself. People began swarming around her. She heard fuzzy voices, some she hardly reconized through the haze of her mind. She only knew that they were here to help her. As they stayed and she felt bandages wrapped around her body she felt much safer. She let herself fall limp as both sleep and uncontiousness claimed her for the night.

Caspian watched everything that they did to her, his hand never leaving her's. On the other side of him, a lady worked on his wrist. He tried his best to ignore the pain, though soon he pleaded for a bottle of wine or whiskey or anything that might take his mind off the wound. He drank as much as was safe for him to do. Now all that he could do was keep his attention on Susan and making sure that she was going to be alright, grunting or perhaps howling every so often when they did something to his broken wrist. When they were finally done with both of them, they told Caspian that he could sleep. The man refused. He wanted to keep watch over his wife, but eventually, either by exhaustion or the wine or a combination of the two, Caspian fell asleep in the bed next to Susan's, his hand still linked in her's.
