Peter sighed as he felt Susan's arms wrapping around him. He raised a tear streaked face to her. His eyes were glistening with held back tears that threatened to spill. He thought he was already cried out. But apparently he wasn't. Peter's eyebrows snapped together. He drew in a sharo breath. "I am not going to put everyone in danger Su. Even if it means my death so be it. We can.." his voice trailed off, suddenly lost in thought. "We can go there....look for Lulu and take her before the fake lion realized it. But I think he'll watch," he added while making a face. He reached out and gently stroked his sister's cheek. "I have to get myself out of their grasp before anything worse can happen,"

"The false Aslan will know what we are doing." She told him, "You'd think that Lucy is'nt gaurded constantly. He will be watching us, and I'm sure he's watching you somehow while you're telling me this. But we can handle it, I'm sure. But we need to face him one way or another. It's the only way we can free you, get rid of Lamont, and get Lyric away from the false Aslan."

Caspian rested against the railing, still observing them. He felt a pull in the bottom of his stomach that he should go to them. But at the same time he had a forboding that warned him to stay away. So Caspian looked from Susan to Peter questioningly, hoping one of them would notice him and tell him what to do: To come or stay.

Peter stiffened and his eyes went wide with horror. Lyric...he had not really thought of her during his planning. He moaned in pain. "I guess we have to follow then," he said glumly. He reached out and smoothed her hair. "I wish I knew where the real Aslan was Sus. He would be able to help..." he sighed and shook his head. "Dark Islands it is," he said with a shudder. "I'll let the captian know and you can tell Caspian the plan,"

Len watched Peter walk towards the captain. She watched him with stern eyes. She was completely lost at what was going to happen. Susan was going to tell Caspian something and she was out of the loop. She walked towards Peter. "So what's the plan and how fast do you want us to get there?" She asked with her arms crossed aver her chest.

Susan went to Caspian just as Lennia went to Peter. She saw the questions on his face and smiled, holding back a laugh. She could never get over the way he looked when he was confused, but she did enjoy it. When she was close enough to him she took his hand, then stopped. Caspian might not take to this plan as well as she and Peter did. Could he accept sending her into danger. But then, could she accept sending him either. To see Caspian hurt would break her heart.
"We're going to the dark isles," she told him, "If there's any place for a monster to hide it would be there."

Peter soon found his way blocked by Len. He took a deep breath, trying hard not to grin as he saw her arms over her chest. "We're going to the dark isles," he told her. "Susan and I are thinking that the monster has Lucy there." he wasn't going to tell her why they were going. He then blinked at her next question. "Faster than normal?" he inquired, knowing about her ability with the wind. He then shook his head. "Probably sooner though. I want this to be over. Can you do it?" he then asked.

The King felt his heart fall. "Susan..." he began, sadness in his voice. Caspian raised her hand to his lips and kissed her fingers once softly and then looked into her eyes. He loved her, and he couldn't bare to let her get into something that would surely be tempting fate. Caspian sighed. He couldn't deny her the right to travel there either, especially in search of her sister. Many of the sailors would probably be captured, and it would be likely that they would never see home again. The King thought for a moment. This place had the word 'death' written all over it. "...Only if I am allowed to stay by your side." Caspian said at last. His gaze never faulterd with hers, and then he pulled her into an embrace. "I don't like letting you go there." he said honestly. "It's dangerous."

Susan hated the thought he gave her. She wanted to be able to tell him to run and know he would. But he wouldn't let that be. The young king had his mind set on staying and she could not change it, not without turning back. He was right to be worried as she was, every soul on the ship shook at the thought of what was to come, Peter probably being the worst of them being that he has seen this false Aslan.
"There's still that thing that Lamont did to you." she said. "We don't know what it dose. I know you don't want me there and I don't want you to go. But because of Lamont I think you are at a disadvantage. If something goes wrong, if he starts trying to control you like he dose with Peter, I want you to leave, no matter the cost."

"I won't let him control me like he does with Pete." Caspian said defensively. "And I don't even think that Lamont wants to, either. Don't you think that if he did, then he would have tried already? All that Lamont has succeeded in doing to me is getting me angry enough to trick me into fighting him. That's not as bad as attacking people on our own side or anything." The King's heart only grew heavier as his lover spoke. "Susan, you know I can't promise you that. I've told you before, I will always protect you, even if it kills me. You should die only once you've lived your life and grown old. You should be able to die peacefully, with your brothers and sister and children and grandchildren and cousins and aunts and uncles and any other family that you'll have gathered all around you. I will not let you die young. And I will not let you die so long as I am living. If I have to, I'll die for you." The man told her. He knew that this wasn't what she wanted to hear. If she didn't want to hear it before, she probably wouldn't want to hear it now. But it was the truth. Caspian held tightly to both her hands and looked at her lovingly, hoping that she would understand.

Len could almost laugh at his remark when Peter asked if she could make them go faster. "Just tell the captain where to head and I will do most of the work from there" She said. She walked towards the sails but turned back to Peter. "Oh and I would like to know the full reason for why we are to go to the dark isles before we hit land" She said then turned back to ready herself.

"Just because he hasn't tried dosn't mean he dosnt want to." She told him, "Lamont's a tricky little bastard who might wait to make us beleive you're safe. But then when the time comes, you won't be." But then she listened and helt herself grow weak. He would die when the time comes. She couldn't stand to see him hurting, but to see him die. "No . . . I j-just . . ." Her words studdered and stumbled over themselves as she struggled to find them. In a last movement of desperation she pulled her hands away frim his and threw herself into his chest wrapping her arms tightly around his waist wanting never to let go. Her body was shaking at the thought of never being able to be with him again and tears began to fall. With each moment that passed a new thought of how he could die passed through her mond, the most horrible of them was for her to be captured by Peter while Lamont controles him and when caspian comes for her he is slain by her own brother. When these thoughts came and went her grip only tightened around him.
"No . . ." she whispered at last, "I will not let you die. I love you."

Caspian embraced her just as tightly, and gently stroked her hair in comfort. "I love you too. And that is why, if anything should ever happen, I will die for you." The man said. He stopped talking after that and let her cry, as tears swelled in his eyes also. He rubbed her back softly, trying to comfort her, and kissed the top of her head. "You understand?" Caspian asked, his voice was a bit shakey, but he was trying to control that.

his words and his touch comforted her at first. Only god knows how much she had longed to hear him say those words. But then he turned her peace back into fear as he continued to speak, perhaps not knowing how he hurt her.
"I won't let you go," she cried, "neither of us will die or we will die together, protecting eachother with no regrets. I know you want to protect me, and I understand that, but if it happens I will spend whatever remainder of my life that is left only blaming myself for your death. I already feel horrible enough because of Lucy, I con't lose you to. I don't think my heart could take it."

Caspian felt happiness and great pain at the same time, as if she shot again him with one of Cupid's arrows. He was glad to know that she felt the same way about him as he did about her, but what she had said burned him like a hot sword thrust through his stomach. "Neither of us will die if I can help it." he said. "But if one of us must die in the Dark Iles or anywhere else, I will be it. If I am ever captured I want you to turn and flee." Caspian hugged his lover tighter as his tears did spill down his face. "And it is not your fault that Lucy was taken. Now that we know that it wasn't Aslan, it was Lamont, you can be sure of that. He wants my throne, and will use the people I love to get to it. Lucy was probably just the easiest target for him that day in the forest. It's not your fault, Su."
