Small Talk(Caspian)

[King Caspian X]

Caspian looked at him in disbelief. "You think that my cousin could kill me in a few hits? You must be joking!" he said, but let it go. He didn't hear what Peter said about Susan. "I don't know about spies." he said honestly. "But he hasn't been in Narnia long, and by the looks of it, he already has followers."

[High King Peter]

Peter looked at him while raising an eyebrow. "Possibe isn't it?" he inquired. "I mean, I know you're good at dueling Caspian, but there are a few slip ups in the process." he paused for a moment to register what the other had said. "He's acting fast," he noted. "But not that many would join his side," he added with a small amount of hope.

[King Caspian X]

"Enough to draw attention." said the King. "And we can't ignore any one of his men. They're getting magic from somewhere, and we have to find out just where that is." he said, a snarl spreading across his face at the thought of Lamont getting a hold of too much power. "And we need to get some for Narnia, somehow."

[High King Peter]

"Oh wonderful," the young king said, his voicce driping with sarcasm. "Just absolutly wonderful!" his eyes were glilttering with rage. "And when we weren't having enough problems aleady!" he was refering to his younger sister of course. His eyes filled with pain at the thought. "I feel like its my fault Lucy's been taken. I promised mum I'll look after them..." he stopped there.

[King Caspian X]

"It's not your fault." Caspian mentally sighed. It seemed that all of them thought it was their fault. "Everyone takes walks in the forest, and Lucy's was no different. How could you have known what lurked in the trees? After we'd had peace for so long? No one knew, and it's no one's fault but Lamont's. He's the one that took her, Peter. Not you."

[High King Peter]

Peter sighed "Yeah but I iwsh it was me that he took at times. That way we can save everyone the..." he stopped as an idea was slowly forming in his mind. He looked at Caspian. "Is it possible to fake an act?" he inquired. "Lets say you told him he could have your throne. But we would have guards hidden and when the time was right...we can get him to reveal where he might have taken Lucy,"

[King Caspian X]

Caspian thought for a moment. "It sounds good Pete, but there's one flaw. I know my cousin is a snake, but he's smart. Wouldn't he suspect something was up if I just hand him the throne?"

[High King Peter]

Peter frowned. He didn't see through that one. "Hm...well we're just going to have to play around a bit though. We have to plan it good so he wouldn't suspect it." he stared into space for a moment. "Since I'm all out of ideas, what do you have in mind. Remember that we want little bloodshed as possible if none,"

[King Caspian X]

The King thought again. "Do you think Susan would act? Maybe we could fake an arguement or something, pretending that she wanted to find Lamont and trade places with Lucy or something. And I could be her not to go to the point that I say 'I'll just give Lamont what he wants, my throne.' And then we could go try and find him, when in reality he's probably watching the whole thing? He seems to be popping up everywhere these days..." Caspian grumbled.

[High King Peter]

Peter grumbled under his breath. He had forgotten about Lamont popping up. The guy was a huge pain in the butt. He shook his head. "I don't know," he said slowly. "Su might when we tell her whats going on," most than likely she'll say yes. But Peter wsn't going to take any chances. "But hopefully the plan will work considering that Lyric seems.." Peter stopped dead for a moment. "She seems to know Lamont," he said slowly.

[King Caspian X]

"She knows him?" asked Caspian. "And what plan?" So far he thought the were just coming up with ideas.

[High King Peter]

Peter looked at him for a minute. "What we're trying to think of. That plan," he shook his head. "Honestly Caspian where's our mind at?" he paused, trying to remember. "A group of Lamont's men was at Cair Paravel with us. The leader said something about telling on her to Lamont. I think," he added with a frown. "I don't remember much because I was shot in the back with an arrow,"

"Do you think she's a runaway? Maybe that little bastard has slaves or something." Caspian hated his cousin. The King looked down at his shield as he thought. What else could his cousin come up with? "Did she say anything to you?"

[High King Peter]

Peter grimanced and shook his head. It was too much to bear wandering if she was one of Lamont's slaves. "Runaways most likely." he looked at Caspian with worry. "If she is a runaway then I want guards on her. I don't want to see her hurt Caspian." he paused, trying to remember. "I think she was hiding that part because she would not tell me anything though."

"We'll get her some guards right away then." said Caspian. He wondered what Lamont would need slaves for. Probably just to be cruel, he decided, but chose to ask Peter, "Why don't you try and ask her why she's running away? Or if she even is a runaway?"
