Nicole laughed when she heard Anna's thought. He had deserved it. Nicole turned back towards devon watching him as he healed kumi. "Is she going to be ok?" Nicole didn't have time to think before her hands were in his and he kissed her on the cheeck. Nicole could feel her face get hot as she blushed. Quickly she turned her head so Devon or Anna couldn't see it. Nicole returned to normal when she heard the good queen's words. "My queen," Nicole turned to her, " I know you don't know me that well but i have become good friends with Anna and Devon and i have also had the privilage to fight beside you and your husband. I wish that you would let me take responsibility for him, i will make sure he won't harm anyone. Anna or I would not allow it, I don't think he would do anything but we will watch him." Nicole silently removed Devon's hands from her and turned to Anna. Nicole knew ANna was going to watch the boy anyway so it shouldn't be a problem. "What do you say?" Nicole turned to susan a smile on her face.

Devon turned to her " she's gonna be ok" he smiled at Nicole "thank you for your help if it wasn't for you i would be dead" he turned to susan "I can't belive im gonna say this but, may I fight along you" Devon kneeled in front of her "so you can keep an eye on me"

Anna growled audibly in disapproval when she saw him kiss her. In her opinion, it was flat out rude. He should have asked permission of the child before he even touched her. There was no such thing as 'I didn't mean to kiss you'. Yes he had. That was just some lousy excuse. The gryffin would not trust him. She looked at the royal family and nodded. She would watch him. For the rest of his days, she would watch him. "What he says is true." she thought to Nicole. "He would have been dead now if it weren't for you." Anna may have killed him. Even if she hadn't had the first intentions of doing it, she just may have. She still would if he made so much as one move out of line. One word. One breath. Her eyes glowered at him. The beast didn't like Devon, and she wasted no time in letting him know it.

Where had she been taken? She could feel something soft under her belly. Her wounds had dissapeared after she heard something, something that souunded almost like a boy talking to her. Maybe it was the boy who said he loved her, the one who wouldn't let her die. Why did he have to save her? "Where . . . "She fought with her body to force out the incredibly quiet words. "Where . . . am . . . I"

Kioh could hear her voice. She was speaking to him. He struggled to find the energy to come back. Struggled to give her an answer. Finally, he managed to say two words. "Home. Safe." Then he was forced to let his body rest. When he had the slightest ounce of energy, Kioh drew from something. Anything. A mouse in the woods. A flower. A bird. Something. But he could open his eyes. He stood and pulled himself onto the other side of the couch and sat there, glad to be off the floor. His eyes closed again, energy slowly coming back to him.

Niocle flinched when she heard the griffon's thoughts. She had saved devon but she didn't exactly know why. had she also grown found of him? "You wouldn't of killed him." Nicole said so softly that only Anna could hear.

what do you say? That was what she asked. Too fast were the thoughts in her head that for a long while there was nothing to say. Devon tried to kill her and Caspian and Katrina, the three the demons want dead, leading her to believe he had some connection with them. But when she saw him in the desert he had been against Lamont. So how could be for what he was against before. "Tell me everything you know about the demons from the Firefields, Devon, and maybe I can find a way to trust you."

Nicole looked at Susan when she told devon to tell her about Demons. Nicole looked at Devon. "What is she talking about devon?" Nicole didn't understand was Devon really evil, no he couldn't be. "Devon?" she was scared, her voice a litlle high pitched. "WHat is going on?" she walked closer to devon.

Devon looked at them both confused too, devon didn't know what she was talking about " What..are you..talking about" Devon stood up" I know nothing about any demons im my own self, I follow no one, I just gave you an offer queen let me fight next to you"

Nicole sighed when he said that. So he wasn't involved with demons, but wait why would the queen say that if it isn't true. "WHy did she say that then?" She gave a questioning look to devon then Susan. "

Devon Looked at Nicole "Im sorry I don't know what she's talking about" Devon turned to see kumi at his feet " Awww poor little kumi " Devon took out his daggers and threw them to the ground and started to walk away

"Wait!" Nicole grabbed his arm she didn't know why but she didn't want him to leave. "You don't have to leave, I don't want you to." Nicole said the second part a wisper only Devon could hear. " I want you to stay wiht me." Nicole had no idea what she was doing she just said it, she knew she was falling for him it had just takin him to start it.

Devon looked at her with a stare " What? you want me to stay, even tho I caused all this trouble" He took her hand "I love you" Devon didnt know what he was saying but no one else heard him he whipered it to her " Whoa, why did I just say that"

Nicole laughed silently. "that's how i feel right now." She looked at him in the eyes. " I want you to stay no matter what anyone else says. Oh.......and you can say that last line any time you want." She grinned at him and laughed.
