Nicole could still here the thoughts of the others. Most were frantic even Devon's. SHe concentrated on Caspian's at the moment he needed her more than Devon. "Caspian, i know you can here me. I'm using telepathy to communicate with you. " she was silent for a moment then continued. "Until my energy runs out my power should give you enough energy to survive for a little longer. You can't give up though my power will only work on your will." she was silent she waited for him to talk this way it wouldn't waste his energy because it was her's.

"I don't know if I can." he thought. Unconsciousness was gnawing at him like a dog to a cat. He slipped into it again before forcing himself to stay awake. "I'll take your energy. But... in case you do run out... Please, Girl. Tell Susan that I love her." Caspian begged. He was still trying to breathe, though he couldn't. It felt like someone was strangling him, though there was no one there. It was his body, beginning to shut down.

Nicole put the rest of her energy into Caspian, but before it drained she uttered one last spell that would allow Susan to be with Caspian just in case. "Be careful Caspian use my energy wisely and i give you one gift just in case, your wife Susan can now speak telepathicly with you but you have to speak to her first, she doesn't know i cast the spell on her. Good luck." Nicole pulled away from his subconcious as she entered a world of black.

Caspian thanked the girl and turned his mind to his wife. "Susan." he thought her name. "I'm so sorry. I love you." he thought, but couldn't do anything more. He had a limited amount of energy now, and there wouldn't be anymore for a while. "You have to leave me here." he thought. "You have to go and get help." He would save his energy for now, even though the amount that he had was slowly slipping away from him. But even energy wouldn't save him from dieing. He needed air. He needed blood to flow through his brain. Without his brain, there would be no thoughts. Without his brain, there would be no movements. Without his brain, he would die. And it was losing blood as time passed. "Hurry."

"Caspian?" She spoke to him not understanding that their minds were connected. Only when the Dark Isle's voice told her did she realize. "No," She thought to him, "I won't leave you. Anna's gone for help. She'll bring back Katrina and she'll save you. Nicole's magic did the most for you and hers is similar to Katrina's. She'll come. She'll save you. But I . . . I won't leave you. I can't. And you won't leave me." She almost collapsed on him, the only thing stopping her being the knowledge that it would hurt him here. "I promised to stay and you promised to stay. Please, Caspian, keep your promise and stay with your children. They need a father, one that's not insane." She kissed his cheek but wasn't sure if he felt it. "Even if Anna dosn't come then . . . then we have Aslan. He wouldn't let you die, would he? No, he chose you to lead and there had to be a reason for it. He will come if nothing else."

"I might not be able to keep it." he thought sadly. "You haven't the idea of my pain, and I'm struggling not to fall asleep because I know that I won't wake up. I might not be able to wait for Anna." Caspian's mental voice was sad, but serious. "My seconds are numbered. I need air. My blood is getting thick, and if my heart doesn't beat soon, then when it does it might clot my blood veins. We cannot be babied by Aslan. If we truly need him, then he will come. But I need you right now. I need you to go down to the medical chamber. There, you'll have to find the oldest nursemaid. She's wisest and best. She'll know what to do. I'm dieing, Susan. I need you to do this for me." he told her. He felt her kiss and wanted to smile, but couldn't. "I want to live to see my son." he thought. "Please, go and get the old woman. I can't wait for Anna."

Susan hesitated. She couldn't leave him, not like he was. But she knew all to well that they would do much more good than she would only crying over what would be her dead husband. But what if while he was away he failed her and died, his last words being that he couldn't wait? "I love you more." She thought before fleeing. she ran faster then her legs would allow forcing her to stumble on the stairs and letting her crash down a few. Shaking off the pain she forced herself to stand and went only a little slower, her hand on the banister for support. Halfway down she realized how smooth the railing was and slid the rest of the way ignoring how strange it would look if she fell and her dress went up. She didn't care. When she reached the medical chambers she didn't like that there were several old women. Only one of them she knew to have cared for Caspian before and it was her she pulled away from the group. "The king is dieing and you must come." She bowed and followed the queen, but she was far too slow. It seemed like hours before they reached the top of the stairs much less went in. But Susan stopped at the doorway, not daring to go in. She had taken so long Caspian was probably already dead.

Caspian followed her mind as she went. His heart only continued to grow worse and worse, the pain elevating to the point where he could no longer save his energy and keep still. Instead, he was rolling the the floor with his hand over his chest, pounding on it and trying to get his heart to start. He didn't know how he had survived this long. Most people would have been long dead right now. But then again, he wasn't a full person. Half of his blood was demon. "Where are you?" he pleaded to Susan's mind. He had at least managed to save a little energy by keeping his eyes closed and ears shut off from the world.

"here." She thought to him, but she was still afraid. Where was Anna? Why hadn't she at least come back. By now any other normal human would have died. But Caspian was a half demon, that was what must've let him live this long. But it didn't make him immortal.

"I don't feel you." he thought, still not opening his eyes. "And I can't smell your perfume." The nurse had rushed his his side and was trying to force him to lie still. "Where are you?" he asked again. "Why aren't you here?"

"This is . . . your home." Strength was returning to her. The elf had saved her, she hated it, but he did. She wanted to complain, wanted to fight him, wanted to hurt him for hurting her by letting her live. At least if Caspian killed her she would die a more noble death. But if she had to soil her own hads and die shamefuly then she would. when she opened her mouth to speak she could hear wings outside. She forced herself to sit up, and then stand. "Someone is here."

Kioh nodded. This was his home. He searched for something to draw energy from, and found a dying tree outside. He took its energy and looked up, surprised to see her standing. Kioh stood quickly as he remembered that she had been wounded before. "Please, sit." he said, being polite. He went into the kitchen and brought back a small, smooth wooden basin. At his mumbled words, it filled with hot water and he placed it under her feet. Then he took a mug from the kitchen and filled it with hot water also, then turned it into tea. He wrapped the glass in a towel and came back, handing it to her. The elf looked confused as she said that someone was there. Kioh didn't really know anyone in Narnia. He went to the window and looked out. There is no one there." he said. He could hear the wings, too. But he didn't think that it could be a visitor.

Anna flew past, still searching. But the forests were barren. There were no little humans to be seen anywhere. She shook her head, and turned her direction, flying over the area where the stake had been. Maybe they had returned there for some reason. Her feet landed upon the white snow with grace. "Has anyone seen the girl that escaped?" she croaked out at them, but they all shook their heads.

Nicole was confused, she didn't understand she didn't have energy but yet she could still here thoughts. "That is because i am ok now and you are using my energy." Sevona mumbled. Nicole reached out with her subconcious to Anna. "Anna listen closely." she started "a few miles back west about 54 degrese is a place the girl is at with the boy who saved her. ANd also your looking for a human right now but you should be looking for an elf the girl you seek is an elf." Nicole said waiting for any questions Anna might have.

Katrina did not sit as he told her. Maybe Caspian sent someone after her. She coudn't picture him giving her up so easily. "But someone was here though. You herd it too didn't you?" She knew he had otherwise he wouldn't go outside. But maybe he was thinking the same thing, that some bounty hunter was coming to take her back so she could die and he didn't want her to go.
