The beast stood atop one of the moutain peeks in his chimera form. There was no need for formalities in front of the young queen who lied bound beside him. She still did not know that this monster was the Aslan that had told her to accept her being with him. Her loyalty to Aslan was strong enough that she would even endure being his prisioner. But he cared little about the child. What he would say were words he wanted her to hear, but they would not be said to her. A summon was sent to Lamont several nights ago. He would come this way soon.

The boy scaled the cold mountain almost effortlessly. When he at last reached the peak and saw his summoner as well as his prisoner he bowed. the summons he received said only this: 'there is not much time until Narnia is yours.' and then told him to come to the mountains.
"I am here, my lord," he said before lifting his head and the chimera stood. "what is it you want from me?"

"Peter will bring the others to the dark Isles as he said," The beast told him. The girl shook but said nothing out of fear for her captor, "when he leads them there we will be waiting as promised. Have you a plan yet, of haven't you come up with one."

"I am trying, my lord," Lamont told him. In one way or another there was always something his cousin could do to stop him with every plan he made. "King Peter is of better use to us when his mind is in his own hands. Perhaps you could give him orders to carry out. Then when he betrays them, of his own free will, it will break them much easier."

"While this is entirely true Peter has already betrayed us once by telling Susan about our little secret." He almost laughed when he said this, he knew Peter would tell before he even gave him the mission. "The crew already knows their headed for a trap, but Susan is determined to come to us. Why, I cannot say. But in either case, we have lost the element of surprise and using Peter is not as good of an option as we may think."

Lamont sighed. Using Peter had been so much fun in the past. He enjoyed seeing the world through the high king's eyes and putting fear into his friends and family. It had become almost a hobby he had begun to use at random points of the day. "But when the time comes he could still be of use, just not as much as before. But perhaps if we were to kill my cousin first, get him out of the way, things would be different."

"True as you are I thought you wanted to keep Caspian alive. You had other plans for him I believe. Why turn them down before getting your revenge. After all he killed your father and your mother is dead because you were forced to live in that English world. It is his fault you have no family and his fault alone. He deserves the life of suffering you planned for him. A plot so cruel that even I could not have come up with a better one."

"Leave my mother out of this!" Lamont screamed but quickly bowed in apology hoping he wasn't punished for speaking out. "I never wanted . . . She wasn't suppose . . . How could she have . . . She didn't deserve her fate." He struggled to force out his words. He had seen his mother die on the streets of England and hated the thought of it. Every time the event came to his mind he fought to blink away tears. But his horrible memory had become his gain, for a similar fate would befall his cousin and he would suffer far worse than he. "I know what I want in the end, I just can't find a way to get it. I need more time, just a little more time."

"Fool, they are comming to me and will be there in a matter of weeks, depending on how the whether allows them. With the wind witch it will probably bee shorter. I will delay them as much as I can but the rest is up to you. I will not do this for you. If you are to be king you must stand alone as one, fight like one, and control your subjects like one. When Caspian's ship reached Dark Isle I will stand beside you, I will help you with the magic I have given you. All I will take care of is Peter. You deal with Susan on your own, understand."

"I know full well what I must do, It's just doing it that's the problem." Lamont sighed, "My cousin is stubborn and foolish. He will lay down his life willingly rather than see his Susan suffer at my hands. But doing that would defeat the purpose of making him suffer. you said yourself that there isn't a better plan, cruler thing to do, than what I will, but he's too weak to let it happen. I cannot risk his death before his pain. He will know the horror he brought to my life, one way or another, he will know what he did to me."

"I am very aware of what you want. You've told me plenty of times. The question is, what will you do to gain it?"
(Yeah, I know it's short)

Lamont thought for only a moment. He wasn't sure how long it would take for them to reach the Dark Isles and he was running out of thme thanks to the witch. But at last one final thought came to him.
"Perhaps Peter hasn't outlived his usefullness after all. There is one last task we could give him."
(I can't think much either so i dont mind)

"So your choice is through Peter," The chimera said, "I should've guessed. So the high king will do your bidding, causing chaos wherever he goes, and in the confusion of it all you will take your prize. I should expect nothing more from a useless child. Perhaps your throne shall be mine instead, you hardly seem fit for it."

"No, its not like that," he said and for the first time looked to Lucy, "There is too much for me to say in front of the girl. Trust me when i say this will work. There are no flaws, not even my cousin will be able to find a way around it. And being that Peter is helping us then I don't need to worry about him then do I. But there is only one thing you need to do first before this can work. I know you won't like it but the girl needs to go free. She'll go beck to the castle and wait for the others to come back, there's not much she can do since they've already left the port. It's not like she can fly away."

"Very well then," He went to the girl whe trembled as he neared and cut her bonds with the teeth of his snake tail. At fisrt it seemed she wasn't sure if she was actualy free. The lion roared fiercely enough to shake some of the summer snow off the moutain peak and the girl fled, stumbleing on her unused legs. "I can only hope she dosn't run into the true Aslan. And as for you I will give you this final gift." The chimera slowly became a centaur, still carring the paws of a lion, and for the first time a belt could be seen around his waist with a decorated sword hanging from one side. The centaur unsheathed it, letting it gleam in its prefection, then sheathed it again giving it to the boy. "I can only assume you know how to use it."
